Subject: Best Necron List? Starting a new army

Aparently what happened at my flgs is that the older people who could afford it started stocking up on forgeworld units based off IA books, and were winning all the tournaments against the young kids, who couldn't afford to keep up, so they just banned it from competitive play, since the young people are actually like 90% of the flks who participate. This just kind of stuck as even a non-competitive rule at that shop.
Its actually become fairly uncommon to get a game of 40k at the store (my age group is into Hail Caesar, and the younger crowd is into Magic, Star Wars, and Warmachine). So if they say no forgeworld, I don't argue, becuase there's only like 10 or so guys who still play semi-regularly.

That sucks to hear. Yeah, I've never hada problem with people saying no to be using Dark Harvest, simply cause I use flayed ones as troops and large squads. I have to still get some vehicles.

If I lose it is because I had bad luck, if you win it is because you cheated. |

I think most people's hesitance to play against anything FW comes from a mix of unfamiliarity and power balance issues, eg.
"Oh, he's using a FW unit. I've heard a lot of FW units are ridiculously over powered/under costed. I wonder if he's using some of those units. I bet he is. Yeahhhh, I don't think I want to play against someone using OP stuff, it'll be unfair, I'll just have my ass handed to me."
etc.

Yeah but Dark Harvest can be played without the new stuff it's just a different list. I mean it's a completely different play style to what people are use to.

That list is... probably not a good one to recommend to new players.

This is a really really bad competitive list.

Your list really, really has no idea what it wants to do.
For fast attack you usually go balls out on wraiths or scarabs, and if you get scarabs; Spyders are almost mandatory due to how well they sync (and Spyders are good, dirt cheap monstrous creatures anyway).
Tomb blades, like Destroyers aren't awful, but you can usually do better for yourself.
Warriors and Immortals usually benefit from having a dedicated transport and/or a cryptek and/or lord with the appropriate equipment doled out to them, running them purely on foot all on their own isn't the brightest of ideas when you can massively increase their resilience and mobility for relatively little points and throw in a good support fire unit too.
In addition; in Heavy Support you either go balls out on the spam or you go home. You don't just throw in a random D-Ark (which aren't super-optimal anyway).
In addition, your court is neither great for support nor punching. You have a despairtek to be paired with the deathmarks which is good, but the other choices are all so confused.
