Why are there so few complaints posts about Forge World even thought it's owned by GW?  [RSS] Share on facebook Share on Twitter Submit to Reddit

My FW hell hound took hours to bond, but my FW executioner tank took mere minutes. As someone who loves modeling buying genuine FW products is not fun to make. Fine cast is easier to work with! While the end result is great... its only great after a whole heap of work.

Price. Considering what I pay, I would expect not to get broken bits and more importantly not to get warped to hell parts.

For the parts that have trouble binding take a small fine file and score the parts to be stuck together but make sure the parts fit evenly. A micro rough surface that fits flush is the best for glues. If you do this they will always bind quickly and strongly as long as you put the right amount of glue (gorilla super glue for me).

If you find extremely warped or broken parts forgeworld usually is very nice about replacing stuff.

True, after assembling many of their kits I have started to learn ways of increasing its bond. Such as sticking, unsticking it for a bit, then resticking it. But yea ill give that a try. I found shaving small bits off the to be glud surfact helped as well.

I wouldnt mind getting it replaced. But when it took a around a month to arrive, id rather not have to go through that process again. I dont doubt they will help, but time is worth a lot more than what I paid for the kits.

You can love baseball but hate the MLB association; or any other sport or item.

Yes, Warhammer 40k was created by GW. And by created, I mean an amalgmation of rip-offs from many classic sci-fi writers like Moorcock, etc.

I enjoy 40k because of THQ and Relic for the fantastic games they have made. I got into the hobby because of Citadel minis, which used to be separate company in the days of yore. And finally, I found out I love me some wargaming. But the recent business practices run afoul of what I deem reasonable.

So yes, you can reasonably enjoy 40k while disliking Games Workshop.

Shine on, Kaldor Dayglow!
