Yeah, you can't just expect to win by playing with models you want to play with. You have to go out and buy the rulebooks that GW wants you to buy and the model kits that they want you to use and then you can win for 6 months until the new FOTM comes in, and then rinse and repeat.

This is 40k, this isn't some kind of game where you can just play with your models. Throw them all out and buy the new superkits! Look how shiny they are!

And this is everything wrong with 40k in a nutshell.

Why should I (and others) get penalised for using stuff we want rather than stuff that don't, after all I want to enjoy the game using skill and tactics with the units I want to use rather than be pidgon-holed into units I have to buy in order to win games by simply out-ruling my opponent? After all its an expensive game and I would rather buy units I want rather than be crammed into a tight spam hole that is a joke called a "Codex: units X Y and Z"..

I might be a sell out but when I know I'm going to be playing Rip Tides and Wrath Knights I take a Knight. Its the only thing I can think of when my opponent takes 2 or three. If I know I wont be seeing either one of them the knight says out of the game. Sadly it was the only thing I could think of to kill the MC's.

If that's your opinion, fine, let's leave it at that.

Objectively, you're as wrong as one can be. But since you are not even willing to take your codex, have a look into it and search for weapons or models that might have a fighting chance against MC, you will just stay that way. Fine for the rest of the community, I guess. You cannot expect us to literally tell you every single method of dealing with every single problem. YOU are the one looking for a solution, so YOU should be the one who starts making some research first.

Everyone on DakkaDakka will be glad to help you with specific questions, but at this point, everyone gave you so many hints and you were not willing to accept either of these, let alone use them as an inspiration to do some dedicated research on your own. And that is where even my patience ends. I love helping players in need of advice, but I am not going to spoon-feed users who are not interested in becoming better on their own. Sorry.

You like playing the victim, you think that your enemies are unfair and that you have no chance to beat them.

You have one big problem:

You are not looking for advice, you are looking for confirmation.

Sorry, but that's something we cannot give you.

My GOOD SIR, +1 have an exalt.
