I loved Mutant Chronicles and Warzone. The fluff is as solid as GW's and scratches my grimdark itch quite nicely. I also like WZ's rules a lot better than 40k, course it's been 15+ years since I played.

Y'know, after sitting on several pounds of old Warzone models for 10 years (I finally conceaded I will never make a Mishimi Space Marine army and sold them this week) I wasn't going to touch the new Warzone.

But y'know...

$100?

I'm not made of stone damnit.

The Valkyries are also looking really choice.

The Juggernauts are a lot better. Do you have pictures of the new Hussars? I have some of the 'old' ones and they are a real pain in the arse to assemble, they don't even fit on their bases....

I could stop to rant about why GW never did an RPG line for Dark Heresy, Rogue Trader etc... but why?

Obviously that company does not want my money.

I have to say, these are probably my favourite incarnation of 'em to date. I know what I'll be grabbing a few boxes of (after I finish actually building all of my KS stuff).

What sort of model count does Warzone involve for a standard game?

Well the starters weigh in at ~400 points each and that will net you around 13 miniatures. It's very easy to spend another 100 points on squad upgrades / equipment so 500 points is generally going to be considered to be a 'starter' level game.

1000 points is probably the lowest points value that people would consider a 'regular' game - along the lines of a 200 point Infinity army. Assuming you don't want to swarm your opponent with a ton of cheap, disposable troops then you can expect to have around 25 miniatures in a 1000 point force.

To put things in to context, an off-the-shelf warlord (your army commander) can cost between 150 and 250 points. With the recent rules to build your own warlord you can probably blow up to 300 points on him. A 5-man unit of line infantry will typically cost around 100 points and you can easily bump that up to 300 points by adding more guys to that unit and buying them squad upgrades

Definitely getting a Pinky Demon feel from them. Love it. There was a Howling (or screaming?) demon preview on facebook that looks like an awesome related character.

Heh, alas not. The Screaming Devil is an exception and even then she is very much alive. It's just that her face got fethed up because plot. It's all in the free Heroes of the Solar System PDF

They aren't space Samurai, they are dishonoured space Yakuza with a deamon mask surgically attached to their skull.

What is the event and who is it for?

This open day is to celebrate the fantastic games of Aliens vs Predator and Warzone: Resurrection. From demonstrations for both games, open play, a meet and greet with Prodos Games as well as a showcase of the scenery and much more!

When is the event?
The Prodos Games Day runs from 10am until 5pm on Saturday 15th November.

Where is the Event?
This event is being run at the Wayland Gaming Centre in Hockley, Essex.

What do you need to bring?
You do not need anything to take part in most of the activities running over the weekend. However, if you want to take part in the Open Gaming, it is recommended that a 1000 point force is brought from any of the official factions.

How much is the event and what’s included?
The Prodos Games Day is free to take part in. However for the full experience it is recommended that you purchase a VIP ticket to give you access to additional content.

VIP Tickets (£7) will include Lunch as well as participation to the VIP seminar with Prodos. Lunch is a choice of hot food option (see Bar Facilities for details), as well as any soft drink, and two of our wide range of snack choices. For the older participants, the soft drink can be exchanged for an alcoholic beverage at a small supplement on the day.

Bar and Lunch Facilities
On site we have a fully licensed bar with a wide range of drinks, snacks and food available.

Hot food options include a Premium Hotdog, Cheese Burger or Cheese stacked Nachos (suitable for Vegetarians).

Does Prodos have a cash flow problem which prompted this selling of KS pledges and reopening the pledge manager?

Actions like this worry me from that perspective.

Bloody hell I hope not!

I suppose it's possible that they ordered too many initially, not sold enough to traders or might just see the opportunity there for a few more sales in the meantime while their pledge manager has been re-opened.

Was hoping to get this stuff together for an event, to be used alongside a load of the 15mm Kurasan aliens in a bigger scenario, looks like no change at all of that now.. :(
