My fiance and I are enjoying Pathfinder Adventure Card Game, Pandemic, and Arkham Horror a lot.

We've recently started playing chess, but white is over powered, getting to go first. That games needs more balance.

Played my first two league games of Warmachine. Lost one, won one. Both very fun games that require a lot of unforgiving strategy. I love it.
Infinity just continues to impress me.

Arkham horror! I want to get into that so badly! Also loving Warmachine and Infinity.

While they are singing "what a friend we have in the greater good", we are bringing the pain!

Some Aeronautica Imperialis. Heretical thought, but I like it better than X-wing.

However, I play both.

Just finished WH40K Dawn of War Game of the Year edition.
On mission 2 of WH40K Dawn of War - Winter Assault now.
Next up is the other expansions to DoW1 Dark Crusade and Soulstorm ; )

Highly recommend these games still, can probably pick them up on steam cheap in the sale that should be coming soon - can confirm they work fine on Windows 8 still. They show their age mainly in the interface and resolution, but are still very playable and it's great fun running around with 100 marines 10 Dreadnaughts worth of units! Also with allied Imperial guard which I always love.

I've been enjoying painting my Infinity lately (would love to get a game in if people around here played) and, surprisingly enough, have been having a lot of fun splitting the occasional GW box with a friend and painting up one or two models each.

For gaming though it is all about Dyst Wars 2.0 and a mate and I are looking at setting up a game between 5 and 10 thousand points in a couple of weeks.

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

Got to teach a game of Deadzone yesterday, and got two games of X-Wing in. Deadzone was a blast, and I have some guys hooked, and I'll always love X-Wing. The two of them are my favorite games at the moment.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Haven't played any 40k since X-Wing came out and this will not change with the release of 7th ed. Tired of GW gouging their customer base with ever increasing prices. I just need someone local to take my Necrons off my hands to finish my dealings with GW. I do want to get into Bolt Action and build up a force of Uncle Sam's Misguided Children...real Marines instead of the fake ones GW puts out.

Just had a fantastic game of Ronin (one of those Osprey mini rules sets) skirmish Samurai. Lots of Saga too, my Irish warband is unstoppable! lol and just tried Chain of Command, had a blast with it, I am sold on that game for sure. I dropped 40K about two years ago and have never looked back.

Have kept meaning to try Ronin - have the rules, but haven't played it yet.

What miniature range did you use for it?

Burnt out on Warmachine / Hordes a long time ago, and most of my gamer friends are fellow burnouts too from the hardcore tourney scene.

RIght now we play 40k , but we also play fantasy. If i had to guess, when the new fantasy rules drop, we'll be hot on that for a while. We've thought about picking up Malifaux 2E, but i still have some shell shock from 1E.

Kings of war looks cool but i'm having a bear of a time getting my playgroup to buy in.

For me, it has to be Warmachine and Darkage I am also paying WHFB.

Hopefully I shall also be running a DnD 3rd edition campaign.
