If FFG made a capital ship star wars game I'll go broke.

I'd steer clear of News and Rumors in that case...

So close...

“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”

Hard to tell from the pictures, but those don't actually look that bad. And the prices are good.

So reasonably detailed. They would paint up ok.

Curious to see how they scale against the WotC minis.

Hmm, a couple of boxes of those and making a Star Wars Dead zone mod would be easy enough. I might try and grab some of these when they're out.

Star wars armada...yup, I'm going to be broke.

While they are singing "what a friend we have in the greater good", we are bringing the pain!

They're out in America(see my appended earlier post for in store pics). Though I know Hasbro UK tends to get things out later than Hasbro US, I'd still suggest checking your local toy stores to double check.

If not, I'd totally trade you some packs for the Transformers Prime Beast Hunters deluxe Twinstrike and Windrazor that we didn't get here in America...

I'll be sure to take a look then... Not that I need an excuse to check out Star Wars toys

What is the possibility of Fantasy Flight releasing a Star Wars miniatures game? They've proven themselves via the X-Wing game and a miniatures game will let Fantasy Flight move into a higher level of business.

(IMHO: this, not 3D printing, is the major near term threat to GW.)

I heard down the grapevine that when FFG got hold of the SW license, there was actually a plan for this. There were models sculpted, rules, etc. But then Games Workshop said that if FFG produced a 28mm Star Wars game, they'd immediately withdraw all licenses for anything Games Workshop related. As that's where a large bulk of FFG's finances come from, they had to back down, and opted to release a game that was no direct competition to 40K instead (namely, X-Wing).

That's an interesting and highly plausible rumor.

The only thing that doesn't ring particularly true is "that's where a large bulk of FFG's finances come from". FFG is really diversified in terms of where their money appears to come from. They may not have wanted to lose the licenses but I doubt their loss would have been financially destructive.

We'll see more when we start hearing more about the mysterious new rumor about Orange Harvest.

Basicly its the name for the new Disney Theme park for Star Wars.

As we get the gears ramped up for the next batch of movies, the new cartoon show, and the ongoing discussion on the live action show, we're going to see more games before we see less.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.
