Is it worth going to see if you're not a fan of the original series? I think I watched a handful of episodes when I was younger, but I couldn't even tell you the turtles names or anything more other than that there are four of them... The previews looked good.

The only way we can ever solve anything is to look in the mirror and find no enemy

It's actually pretty accessible. Yeah, I'd say it's worth it.

I was more worried about how Bayified it would be... but, it all worked.

Yeah... as long as the "spirit" of the TMNT is intact. I can deal with it being "Bayified".

See this is the tricky part. What is the "Spirit" of TMNT?

Is it the super campy, oh-so-80s original cartoon? Is it the darker, more complex& satirical original comic? Is is just pizza and green ninjas flipping out? Is it subjective?

Is it just me or does every one of the "I hate it" reviews feel like "I wanted a serious drama about teenage ninja turtles that makes me think and question human morality and I didn't so now I'm pissed"?

Not just you...

Why can't we enjoy nostalgic stuff for nostalgic's sake?

It sounds to me that if what a person wants from a TMNT film is a nice steamy cup of Nostalgia (80s cartoon flavor) then this film could be what they are looking for.

More power to them.

Me? I measure all TMNT stuff by the standard of the 2003 series, which I thoroughly enjoyed. And this leads me to suspect that this is really not the film for me.

I also have to say I for one loved their faces. So they have noses, big whoop. I really liked how they each had a different personality just by their facial expressions, before they even spoke.

As a huge fan of the Turtles as a kid when they first came out, I came home very pleased from the movie. The elevator scene was probably one of my favorites, even if I think the brothers were a little too heavy on "being street", it still worked.

I was pleasantly surprised by the film. Good comedy and decent pacing, and the plot wasn't to bad either. Not a fan of Megan Fox, but she fills the role pretty well. Liked it a heck of a lot more the Lucy, lol.

Hmmm, looks like I might have to go see this after all. What I wish had been done however was a sequel to the CGI TMNT film that came out a few years ago.
