Can we add "appeals to 'common sense' automatically invalidate your argument'" to the YMDC rules?
And how do you judge what that is?

What sounds like common sense to one person, might not be the same as another person.
Maybe pulling 2 tons of Terminator is too much for Reindeer Thunderwolves pulling the Chariot? Thus the restriction is justified.
Maybe it will be FAQ'd? Maybe it's intentional?

I'm pretty sure all he was saying was claiming 'common sense' as your proof should be against ymdc rules.

For the exact reason you said.

So then Logan does not benefit from the armor if he is hit on the non vehicle profile? ?

Of course he benefits from the armor. If you're allocating wounds, wounds can be allocated directly to him. .

So why do you let Logan gain the benefit of a piece of wargear, but not the penalty?

On what page can I find the instructions for over-writing written Rules in favour of 'common sense?'
There are far to many Rules which have no grounds in rational thought, let alone this mythical thing called "common sense," to conclude that it is in any way important to the Warhammer 40k Rules themselves....

There is none, your group is supposed to decide.

It's common sense to get a bonus and ignore the related penalty?
Really? And ignoring the rules involved completely is common sense?

Man. I'm so uncommon...

Common sense is not always applicable in 40k.

for example. Riding a bike does not make it easier to fire weapons, but in 40k it does.

if you take a model in mega armor, which has slow n purposeful and put it in a unit of lootas which have heavy weapons, they may now move and fire without snap firing. Are they wearing the mega armor? no, but it applies to the unit.

logan cannot Sweeping advance regardless of what hes riding, not riding, because he has terminator armor which forbids it.

Sorry, that was sarcasm.
I thought my previous post would've made that evident.
The bad, it is mine.

naww Rigeld2 is right you have to follow rules even if they don't have common sense from GWs side or you break down to anarchy. Ig they'd just answer questions once a month man that would solve everything.

I still say since it says Terminator armor is cumbersome/bulky/slow and slows the person down you could argue that shouldn't affect a vehicle. What is it a Volkswagen that can't take a couple hundred pounds when it is meant to carry him? It does give the reason for no sweep right in the armors rule. Is a character slowed on a vehicle? I could see a TO allowing it in this case to Sweep.

I think it's more of a reaction time kinda thing instead of a speed thing. Terminators don't even have any peripheral vision. I can see being able to just run away from them before they could grab you.

Not that common sense has anything to do with it.

Well look at the brightside - Logans terminator armor might supposedly prevent him from sweeping advance but now his terminator armor grants him deep strike.

Enjoy.

Cindis,
Aside from the fact the Rule specifically states he looses the ability to Deep Strike.
