When you have too much LOS blocking, it's auto win for assault armies, which the Eldar cannot have.

As a Blood Angels player, I can't stand for this nonsense.
Name one assault army that "auto-wins" against any Eldar list that isn't written in two minutes with limited options... Your statement is simply not true.

Pretty much every statement that person makes is untrue.

I is funny how he claims that he loves mech Eldar, then saying that vypers, warwalkers, prisms and falcons are useless crap.

no he loves Eldar Wave Serpents and winning

I wanted to start eldar before I started to really build up my skaven army. I got a box of dire avengers, 5 warp spiders and a seer and then 5 wraithguard.
I just went with what I like. Once I finish my skaven (once I got 5000 points hopefully soon) I might finish off my tau and work on my eldar.

Really like swooping hawks. Tried them in a proxy game and they were fun and good. Not the best choice but good enough for me to want to shell out the cost for their fine cast models. Plus the models are sick.

I don't really want to go with many jetbikes but probably will and maybe 2 serpents.

This is only because he looked at Nova and was like, omg Tony won 1st with all wave serpents, and the 15 year old kid won 6th or w/e with all wave serpents they must be the best!

Doesn't even realize that Tony shouldn't have won his final game and got lucky. If the 2nd place deldar list had won like it probably should have he would be in here saying something completely different. For the most part I don't believe that full wave serpent lists will ever work at giant tournaments unless they really counter the meta. Nova happened to have a ton of LOS blocking terrain and everyone was running knights. Its a good place to run units that abuse that like wave serpents filled with fire dragons and swooping hawks.

At first, I tried to think of how to get this thread back on topic.

Then I realized that this thread really was on topic. If he's starting Eldar, he should be aware of the vitrol spewed in both directions around Eldar these days.

But the state of his meta is more important than the sentiments of the Dakka boards.

Has something really weird happened, the Eldar world has been corrupted by Wave Serpents.

Here is some age old advice, dating right back to the prime times of Eldar, worlds would fall to these whispers.

'Spam Strength 6, and shoot vehicles in side and rear'

I have no idea why there is always so much talk about units being good/bad. Spamming strength 6 weapons is our greatest strength. That combined with speed is a ridiculously powerful force.

What others have said is true. However pick a theme and build around that, any list (bar a few units) can win.

Mine is speed and S6 weapons of course.

Farseers
Jetbikes
Warp spiders (God-tier unit by the way)
Swooping hawks
War walkers.

Everything moves fast or can be where needed. Shoots lots and can hurt vehicles.

Used to play a Mirror Mech list, its gets incredibly boring.

When people don't reply, you don't get to bump your thread.
