GW had turned the conflict tournaments into mini games days which meant kids, lots and lots of kids running around. But whatever we had our own separate area that was blocked off. So anyway, during lunch most of the tournament goers went to the surrounding area for food and we came back only to find that the security guard at the door was gone, and the tournament area was loaded with kids, picking up and touching models and moving them around from table to table.
Needless to say some guys lost their tempers pretty quickly only to get in arguments with the parents of the vile groin spawns and got pretty ugly. Afterward many players had discovered they were missing models, rulebooks, dice and numerous other things from the kid raid.
Wow. Just, wow. I think that takes the cake for worst experience. What happened? Were the police called/any complaints filed?

Lots of complaints were filed and Im pretty sure GW did something about it and compensated the parties involved, problem was that most of us were gone for 45minutes while these kids had free reign over the area, so there was no one to arrest or go after.

Rick Priestley said it best:
Bryan always said that if the studio ever had to mix with the manufacturing and sales part of the business it would destroy the studio. And I have to say – he wasn’t wrong there! The modern studio isn’t a studio in the same way; it isn’t a collection of artists and creatives sharing ideas and driving each other on. It’s become the promotions department of a toy company – things move on!

I've been lucky. Not so much as a scratched mini from playing in my old GW. A friend of mine, however, was not so lucky. He had a 4000pts Brettonian army (around 6th ed I think...), fully painted, based, converted, the works. He kept it in a couple of GW carry cases and it was his pride and joy.
He came back late from a tourney one night and left the carry cases in the hallway instead of carrying them up the 3 flights of stairs to his games room.
His dad, a mobile DJ, came home a few hours after him and dumped his massive (and heavy) metal carry cases on top of my mates Bretts... crushed both cases and the majority of the army was wrecked. It took him three weeks and a lot of tears and superglue to repair the damage.
