I was correcting the turn number. But that is good to keep in mind.

I lost the corpsethief over two games in a tournament.

1) 6 Grav centurions with 2 gk libbies, draigo, and tiggy. He didn't roll ignore cover, otherwise I would have been shot off turn 1.

2) 9 plague drones with 2 nurgle heralds. The drone champion and both heralds had baleswords. All drones had venom sting, allowing for one attack being ID. His last roll for powers was Endurance, otherwise the talos would have been killing 4 drones turn 1 and making him test for instability at LD 1.

The unit is good, but I don't see it being supremely top tier. It can, shall, and will walk over anything without an invulnerable save, but daemons give it trouble. In most 2-source formats, I (sadly) will have to leave it at home unless I just want to play some fun and challenging games.

It did make up for its deaths in games by nabbing at least 1 extra VP.

Slaaneshi daemons will rip it apart as well, with the mass rending. Hordes+invulns will give it trouble.

It isn't invisibility or re-rollable 2+ broken, but I think it is broken. There are a few armies that just were not built to handle 5 WS5, T7 3+4++ MC's in a single unit.

Like, I lament for all Necron players. Strength 7 AP4 is there bread and butter. Even warscythes will do jack all.
