Hm. It is a toss up between mk 3, 4, and 6. Six isn't my favorite due to looks aside from the shoulders, in that regard MK 5 takes cake. I like MK 6 fluff wise, personally for how tough it is compared to 7. Though in the same argument I wonder if 3 wouls outclass it.

@Stormwall

I'm pretty sure the early bulky and heavy as heck MK III pattern armours were the tanks of the power armours, as others have chimed in with, it was designed for taking direct damage, and many legions used it for frontal assaults on enemy ships. But I think that also made it relatively cumbersome and slow.

Yup. That is the one! I figured it was Maximus pattern, but could never find any matching images.

@casvalremdeikun

I have photos of all listed armour posted on the 1st page OP.

Twas trollmeat's idea Also, the Lexicanum site is pretty helpful for knowledge in certain things, it is a wiki, and anything of a wiki, can't trust it 100% but, most of it's information is pretty awesome.

yeah, but the image you posted doesn't look like the elephant trunk that the regular model has.

I love the Mk.III cause it just looks like a 'heroic' space knight come to save the day. (Sorry I still miss the days of Herohammer, over the increasing grim dark.)

Ah, well, one can only do so much with what he's given. It was an attempt at help, the rest of research is up to the other side. =\ And looking at the MK IV that I posted, and comparing to recent post, Looks the same to me. But that's just IMHO, and being a Maximus a fan, maybe, I made the connection faster?

@ Great White

Haha, yeah thunder isn't doing so hot. My guess is that it being the most primitive of power armours, it's getting left out. But if not for the thunder armour, where would humanity be?! (it does look like lame though, haha.) Really didn't expect MKVI to steal the show though haha.

I voted for mark 1 I like the super classic look. Mark 3 would be a close second though.

Mk II and III got me mostly because I like the helmet designs. They just seem cooler then the Aquila-pattern

I think you'll find that they are the Deep Sea variety of MK1.

My personal favourite is MKIV, though not old elephant trunk... (I don't hate that head, it's just I prefer the other designs better).

Close second is MKVI.

I went for the errant. The high collar is cool, bored with the mkiii which I thought was amazing when it came out. I have massive nostalgia for the beaky amour and just love it. I can't stand the eagle one thats the GW mainstay at the minute it's just awful, poll reflects this too. I know it's not popular but I really really want a new thunder armour model released. It probably needs rethought and edited slightly to make it less comic.

Ha, the post is showing much hatred for the MKI Thunder.

1st place MKVI
2nd tie between MKIII Iron and MKVIII Errant. Wowzuh

At least at the time of this post.

Thunder isn't so bad, I do like the shoulder pads on it, but, I don't like the chain-mail, or that most of them have top-knots, or the Imperial Guard style helmet with no face protection (when characters don't wear helmets I always just imagine that they have a little personal face-force-field). In fact, they kinda look like someone has just hacked an IG head off and glued it on a SM. Sure, they're meant to be the first set of mass produced powered armour, but it kinda looks like GW went back and couldn't figure out how to make the first set more archaic - they coulda at least done something with the backpack such as changing the shape of the nubbins....

...but, again, anyway, I point to my signature

Haha, nah. Trollmeat, everything you stated about the MKI Thunder is everything I dislike about it aswell. I like it when people speak their own mind, and not just speak with the masses like sheep. But yeah, the top-knot, always hated it.
