I tried out probably 7 armies before coming to the Dark Eldar, I've stuck with them the longest and haven't looked back. I absolutely love my DE! Best model range in the game!
So it was another dalymiddleboro who tried to offload his Dark Eldar in the swap shop? (Twice)

You're not. If you're worried about your opponent using 'fake' rules, you're having fun the wrong way. This hobby isn't about rules. It's about buying Citadel miniatures.

CW Eldar are in Evil Anonymous. They want to go on a killing spree, disemboweling everyone you know and love.
They are in treatment due to an intervention 10k years ago, where the universe told them they were being douches. And that they had to kick their habit.
They didnt kick the habit because they felt sorry for you people. Because you - and your loved ones - aren't really people. Just part of the overgrown weeds in their back yard. That they're too busy right now to clean up. They kicked the habit because it was destroying actual people - the Eldar themselves.
Dark Eldar dont care. They love their habit. They'll go to hell - literally - for one more fix.

I believe the wording you are looking for is - Eldar are neutral evil and DE are chaotic evil.
If we fail to anticipate the unforeseen or expect the unexpected in a universe of infinite possibilities, we may find ourselves at the mercy of anyone or anything that cannot be programmed, categorized or easily referenced.

Some people prefer style over substance.
Winning with DE is rewarding when you know they're a little more difficult to handle.

Exactly this. Except for me it was AS and I went there directly .
