Well apparently their price tag was cut by 5 points each (which was a suggestion I'd given a long time ago) plus Teleport Homers are only 5 points. While not great, they're a little better now and you shoot yourself in the foot less.
That said, it means I'm worried for Blood Angels and Space Wolves players. Since there's a liking for universal pricing, I'm worried their codices will be replaced soon.

SERIOUSLY. Terminators look waaaay cooler but Centurions have waaaay better rules. Just give Terminators 2 wounds and 5 toughness and let them equip Centurion gear, release a new kit, boom. Everyone's happy!

Except Chaos.

You never know, it could be 2 heavy weapons, too (the picture of the strike force). That would make them a lot more useful.

Ha! GW will never give us Chaos players anything remotely decent ever again, not after the 3.5 debacle... Besides, we can't have the bad guys being anything more than incompetent chump targets for Little Timmy to effortlessly blast apart.

**Edit: Just saw over on Whineseer in their thread... according to Iuchiban who has the codex, Termies are still moronically 1 heavy weapon per 5 full models in the squad.

Granted a 5 point decrease isn't much but at least it is something as it does add up, and the formation could be effective given the right Chapter Tactic that goes with it. Could give them the Raven Guard one to give them all shroud the turn they Deep Strike in or even the Ultramarines or IF. Lot if options but one we would have to research and test out. Will most likely use this formation as I am not required to take anything else I don't need:

1st Company Task Force
- 3-5 Units from:
Termis
Assault Termis
Sternguard Veterans
Vanguard Veterans
Benefits:
- Fear
- Fearless
- At the beginning of the game, pick an enemy unit. Units in this formation have Preferred Enemy against the picked unit - Enemy units get -2 to L, if they are a 12" of a mínimum of 3 units of this formation Restrictions: None

Which Chapter Tactic would you think be the best fit for this formation?

By that logic, DA and BA would have the best terminators, since they have the newest and most expensive Terminator kits.

Haven't you heard? Loyalist Termies are 5 ppm cheaper! I wouldn't call it a "fix" but it's something.

Also, I have a feeling that Dark Angels might finally be getting a bone from GW if the latest Space Marine codex is anything to go by.

BA Terminators (tied for most expensive Terminator kit) still use the old points values. And because GW is GW, I wouldn't be surprised if they keep DA using the same points as the old dex.

Sounds like another missed opportunity.

Things that would've helped:

Better Toughness
More wounds
Terminator pattern stormbolter, salvo 3/5
Points drop
Terminator armour allowing a 'shunt' teleport move
Multiple heavy weapons

At least they got a points drop if nothing else...if terminators are ever good again I'll be ready...

I was thinking 2 wounds and Eternal Warrior, and I don't play space marines and I feel its fair. Although, I don't think they need grav weapons thats what allies are for (Cult Mechanicus). Oh yeah, my Choas Terminators will be angrier than normal.

I hear that they will be 175 points in the new SM book. Having said that I have never had good experience in using them. TH&SS termies go down too easily to weight of bullets or AP2 attacks (see how many survive a Tau gunline or a Daemon Prince/JuggerLord with an Axe of Blind Fury). If I did go the terminator route, I would be inclined to do so with Grey Knights or Deathwing. Grey Knights just edge it for me at the moment as their base cost is a lot cheaper (165 points) and they get some really good close to medium range weaponry for shooting and melee - plus they have their psychic powers such as hammerhand.

Vanilla Marine terminators are a complete waste of points as you don't get much for the points you pay.

I almost started a 2nd army to make an army of terminators but then I learned how bad they were and decided not to waste my money. That being said if they gave them 1 more wound it would make them viable (sort of like what they did with the Necron Destroyers) it might tempt me to looking back into it.
