A friend is getting into age of sigmar, so I figured I'd try a few games of it with him. Fortunately I don't need to buy any new models, as zombicide contains all I need to field a small undead army.
Just gotta paint it.

These were super quick and easy to paint. Got em done in an evening. So I'm going to finish painting the rest of the wulfsburg expansion. Maybe play a whole army of zombie wolves.

Nice job on the zombie wolves, they may not have taken you long, but they look great!

Back to bugs this month. A bug at least. A very big bug.

Awesome!

Looking forward to seeing this done up in your fleet colours and what you do with the base.

I'm assuming that chimera is part of the support for the big beastie?

Once again I've drifted off track for a few months. Got about halfway through painting that bio-titan then stopped. I'll finish it off sometime, but not soon.
For now though, I've painted The Crimson Terror.

This awesome guy was sculpted by Hydracast. http://hydracast.blogspot.co.nz/p/crimson-terror-coming-soon.html
Great model to paint.
I also picked up their Deathlurker, but I've about 20 genestealers in my painting queue before I can get around to it.

Had a bit of a break from painting for a couple of months, but just came back to it and painted my other Hydracast mini, Deathlurker.
Just in time for the new tyranid codex. Hopefully this guy is good

I've recently started up a new army. I weighed up starting a new thread for it, but decided it's easier to just dump everything in one place.

My custodes are intended to be a bit more of a slow grow army where I just put as much time as I feel like into everything. I'm not aiming the army towards a particular build. I just want them to look pretty.

I finally got around to putting a bit more work into the base for the big guy.

The original plan was to make some sandbags, and have a small gun nest around where that cluster of big rocks is. I'm trying to complete it this weekend though. It's something I could maybe add to the base at a later date when I have a bit more time.

Another thing I'm considering is adding coils of barbed wire along the top of the fence.

Still so many details left to do on this guy.
The carapace cysts need painting, the lashwhip clusters aren't attached, the chimera on the base is unpainted, etc etc.
All that aside, it's coming along quite nicely. I think it's good enough to use in the apoc game I'm playing in tomorrow.

Visited warhammer world recently, and picked up a bunch of neat custodes stuff. An Achillus dreadnought, a Galatus, a Telemon, 6 Aquilon terminators, and a Coronus grav carrier.

Just finished painting the first of these, the Achillus.

I'm fairly happy with how it came out.
I may re-visit the wrist weapons and spear sometime. As I feel my black highlighting is the weakest part of it.

It comes with pre-drilled magnet holes, which I took advantage of to magnetise the wrist weapons. In its current 40k rules it can only use the storm bolters, but it also comes with some plasma flamers and adrathic destructors. Maybe some day these will get 40k rules too.
I also magnetised the arms onto the body. I figure that if I can get my hands on a multi-melta or assault cannon, I can swap the spear arm out to let me play it as a standard contemptor.

Dang. Those guys look sweet! Liking the gold as an accent instead of all over.

Spent the first few months of the year mostly painting genestealer cultists. Painted quite a few of them, but mostly to a pretty basic level. There are too many to spend much time on each one, so I haven't bothered taking nice pictures.

However for the past month I've been focusing my efforts on more custodes. Finishing off Trajann, another box of Custodian Guard, and 6 jetbikes. I've got a little over 1800 points finished after all that. It's almost a respectably sized army.

I still need to make bases for two of the jetbikes. Ran a little short on inspiration after the first four.
