The mouth on the minnow is kind of a focus - maybe make it a little more of a different shade from the other purple? Even more pink? Shrug. +1 for glaze washes.

So the first Mature Angel got some paint last night. This was very delicate work and took ages :( It's a start at least, but now not sure I'll get both Mature and the other three minnows done by the end of the month for he two challenges I'm participating in. Will get this one day at least though.
I lightened the mouth on both following Kestral's advice so will need to highlight around the minnows mouth again when I mix the paint for the Mature. I also gloss varnished the mouth to allow a shine when the models are being photographed. May work, may not, ah well!
Have named my Angels for fun. This guy is called Sryuhh having used the translator at http://www.ookii.org/Egs/Uryuom to make an alien name from the word Cliff (tee hee )
Here is the WIP anyway.

Very nice. The purple is really effective. Do your angels glow or is it simply a highlight?

And here they are, better late than never. My first completed MEdge models:
Mature Angel named Sryuhh
Angel Minnow named Tryjo
C&C welcomed.
I'm off to the Deathwing for a while, but I have a hankering to paint some Epirians next, we'll see how we go.

That's great work, really fits in the MEdge setting too.
How many Minnows are you doing? I found it's pretty simple to chop the top off the flight stand at a slight angle and use magnets to allow for a little more varied and dynamic posing. Not as cool as what... was it Insaniak? I think so... did with changing the wings around as well, but simple and, for me, effective.

Thank you all. I don't really know what to say. I'm very humbled.
@Sgt Oddball - that's a good idea about the magnets, Insaniak's conversions are brilliant though aren't they? I am jealous. I'm playing with basing and angling with the first 4 minnows, I do have more though .....

Thanks EDC and Legoburner!
The basing was my first efforts with cork and glad I gave it a go. I wanted to do a snow world, but didn't want to do ice sheets made of cork and sort of stumbled on this idea of high altitude rocks and the rest is history.
I get very little hobby time, and I want to finish the other minnows and then try some Karist troopers. However I found an awesome photo of a concept robot with a colour scheme that will fit perfectly with what I wanted to do with the Epririans, so am probably gonna take a side step to there next.
But first I need to paint some Deathwing for Paradigm's comp. Oh and then then there's my concept for an Angel Handler I want to try out, but need to have made my Kaddar Novae so I can use the leftover parts. I'll get there eventually

So Onto the Epirian's soon. I want orange jumpsuits to reflect the contractor's origins as just that - Contractors/builders/workmen
And so I tried to work out how to fit the mechs in to this scheme. Google came to the rescue when I searched for "futuristic industrial robot orange" and came up with the photo below

Wow! I can't believe how many people like the scheme and guys I admire too. In the words of Insaniak I shall make it so. Have some plans for the bases to help them stand out slightly from the Karists - think "secret base in the Alps"

So here's a collage of tonight's nearly finished build. The Hunter's arms are blu-takked on to check positioning and will be painted separately. The base needs a second layer of finer grit glued over the large layers. The hatch he is defending is an emergency hatch to a secret bunker.
This was fun. Properly real fun to do
The Epirian bases will all have metalwork/debris mixed in with the hillsides. It is the first official time I have two similar base schemes for two different forces, but because there aren't any other MEdge forces yet and it's the first non- GW set I have I therefore feel these are minis from a discrete single game (for now) and I think the metal elements will give enough difference from the Karists, but link them together uniquely from most of my models.
