May I suggest an Army that isnt Space Marines then? Because the cost of getting into Space Marines with just FW parts is ridiculously high. Not only that, but most of the Legions use Mk IV armor of some sort anyway and at least one (Imperial Fists) has Mk IV in addition to their Mk III. So either buy BaC and Legion Upgrade kits, wait and see if there is a Mk III box coming out this year from GW or do the Mechanicum. The Mechanicum is cheap compared to the Legions (for Forgeworld parts only armies).

I want to play Marines, I just want to be a special snowflake because I enjoy the hobby aspect of the game. I may get B@C but make sure I have stuff to create unique HQs. That's really my main concern - I hate, hate, hate having a leader that looks like my opponent's with a different paint job. Tactical squads are fine to look similar.

if I sculpt that, is it then legal to recast I use it myself?
If not. you can atleast sculpt the heads. armor was mix and matched.

For my night lords bought BaC boxs, for night raptors ive bought 40k chaos raptors because more opitions and lighting on model + its cheaper.

I got 40k chaos night lords upgrade kits
*10 heads (i only use these as my sergs)
*10 shoulder pads
*1 night lord shoulder pad& powersword arm
for $18 is great comparied to 30k FW

and i just convert my tanks from 40k tanks

For 30k jump packs just buy the Blood Angel guard they have them.
