One is them trying to keep their leader alive the other is an attempt to grab power.


I'm not sure why anyone would assume that it wasn't a strong possibility that putting him in throne was a bad idea (malicious or stupid is currently up for debate).

The Alpha Legion ignored the Cabal. I want to see who they would of chosen without their influence. The justification of "Horus is the only one that recognizes how awesome we are" didn't really seem to play much of a role in their decision.
