I think you're vastly overestimating both our willingness to fight to the inevitable death against an entity vastly greater than us and our ability to reverse-engineer technology that's at least centuries ahead of our own, to be honest.

I mean, how would we even get orbital defence platforms into space against an enemy that already has orbital superiority? Hell, how would we even create an effective orbital defence platform? None of the weapon systems we have the ability or understanding to make would be remotely effective in a space battle.

I think we'd mostly be baffled why the alien invaders we're fighting are humans.

Not that baffled- Obi Wan and Luke Skywalker are technically aliens.

We also understand the need to have human actors in a film made for humans.

With literal space aliens, it's... well, nearly impossible they'd be almost exactly like us. Life is too diverse for that to be the case.

In fact you could probably call bullgak on any sci-fi setting where the aliens are anything like humans.

Indeed, it's plausable that a vaguely humanoid shape is useful in evolution but alot of the "aliens" in sci-fi are- "I've got paint on my face, now I'm an alien"

And as much as I've enjoyed this tangent, I think we're off-topic.

Special rules, Feel No Pain 5+, Eternal Warrior, Scout, character(infantry), fearless, Devil trigger, Devil Hunter styles, Daemon.

Rebelion; Dant's faithfull sword, can cleave clean through hordes of Daemons and Mutants and fanatics wioth ease.

Ebony & Ivory, Dante's cherished pair of custom made automatic pistols, the bullets are magically improved to augment their firing and destructive power.

Range 16", Str 5 AP4, pistol 3.

Devil Trigger; Dant's obscure origins allows him to unleash the Powers of his Demonic blood and become a fearfull entity.

Once per game at the start of the psychic phase, you can choose to use Dant's Devil trigger ability, when you do he will keep that ability till the begining of the next psychic phase.

At the begining of the next Psychic phase you can sustain the Devil trigger form, by sacrificing Warp Charges, for each extra turn that Dante is in Devil trigger form, the need for Warp Charges increase, ex: after one turn the upkeep is 2 Warp Charges, after 2 turns its 4 Warp Charges, for a 3rd turn you need to use 6 Warp CHarges.

If you don't have enough Warp Charges or after you kept Dante in Devil trigger for 3 turns, he reverts back to his human form.

WHile under the effect of Devil trigger, Dante gets the following benefits; +1 Str, Thougness, Init,+2 attack, his FnP becomes 4+, he has the Smash USR, and its type becomes character(Jump infantry), IWND.

Also Ebony & Ivory profiles are replaced with the following;

The trade of Devil hunting is no easy task, it require cunning, courage and grit, and a keen adaptability to any situations.

At the beginning of each turn, you can choose ONE style, Dante uses that style until the beginning of the next turn.

-Gunslinger Style- When using Ebony&Ivory Dante gain the Prefered ennemy rule and can shoot in overwatch using his full BS.

-Swordmaster Style; Dante gains the Hatred and Rending USR, in addition Vs models with the Daemon USR, a 6 to wound on a Dice, inflicts an instant Death.

-Trickster Style, Dante adds 3" to all his movements, he treats difficult terrain as open terrain, and can pass over models and terrains of any nature, et automatically passes dangerous terrain checks.
