Do Arnott's Milk Arrowroots count as digestives?
If so, that's the only right answer and damn the admins I'll bane whoever blasphemes against that holy truth

Chocolate caramel are the best for dunking as the caramel keeps it from falling apart. Also regular chocolate digestives are really nice with a bit of Edam on.

The best digest abides two rules in my book:
1) Fits in your mug of tea without having to have a bit knarred off the edge.
2) Survives dunking in tea without going wobbly, falling off into tea, and then giving you the guilty pleasure of eating biscuit and tea with a spoon.

When it comes to digestives, I usually just go for McVities. None of this chocolate nonsense, though. Plain ones, for dunking in tea. There should always be that element of danger - will you dunk it just too long, and it'll break off and fall in?
Rich Tea biscuits are also acceptable for dunking. Custard Creams and Bourbon biscuits also go well with (but not in) tea. For the benighted foreigners on the wrong side of the Atlantic, a Custard Cream is pretty similar to a Golden Oreo. Something which may not have an equivalent abroad is the pink wafer biscuit, although they're under threat, thanks to Nigel and Boris. For nostalgic appeal, Fox's Party Rings are good, although as an adult, I can only manage one at a time.
For putting cheese on, digestives are traditional, but I find them a bit too sweet. Jacob's Cream Crackers, Cheddars and Ryvita for me, with a big bit of cheddar cheese and Marmite.

Phwoar! Fox's Party Rings! Pure yum. And no love for plain old McVities chocolate digestives, both plain and milk?
Well really, women and men of Britain, you have let yourselves down today!
Iced Gems have been a fave from when I was a kid! Love those tiny little teethbreakers!
Anyway, really hot, steaming hot buttery crumpets with a scratch of my mate Marmite and some finely sliced extra mature cheddar. Now that is just divine!

I tend to go for McVities because they're the best that you can get easily in my part of Australia. I went though half a pack of Chocolate McVities last night.

Does this even need to be debated?
Has to be McVities by miles.
Only one that beats it is the same biscuit by pre 2010 when they changed them to be more "healthy"
I find all supermarkets own brands taste plain or as said, are greasy as hell.
Also, Cheers OP.
I now find myself walking round my local co-op to pick up a pack :p
