all 8 muslim MPs voted in favour of the act.

Those who are more familiar with the law (and/or have much better German than I): is this a marriage equality law (that is, no limitations on the types of relationship the state will recognize), or is this simply expanding the term 'marriage' to homosexual couples?

in the case of Germany a greater portion are of Turkish descent and they are already more or less pro lgbtq

This was largely not what I saw/experienced when I lived there from 09-12. I would be interested to hear from those who live there currently to see how much has changed. When I was there, the Turks were generally speaking, an insular, outcast group. In large part due, I think, to an identity crisis. Many German youths born of Turkish parents (as in, first generation immigrants) and were regaled with stories of Turkey. So, they'd go to Turkey (seeing how they didn't exactly fit in in Germany owing to language spoken in the home, and perhaps some of the attitudes), but the Turks living in Turkey would basically say "GTFO, you're German" and they'd head back to Germany where many already felt unwelcome.

So, acculturation in progress. I think that's the technical term, anyway.
