Yeah the CROWS is the sponson replacement, with the kit you will be able to build either plasma or tribarrel options but not both (the walls are too thin to sink a magnet in). So if you want to be able to swap between them you will need 2 kits (or just be a better modeler than I am).

Squadrons will be doable. We're looking at being able to sell these with your option of main gun as well.
Okay folks, the primary assembly has been molded, and they look pretty clean (we'll know more by tomorrow). The second batch (hatches, barrels, CROWS etc) has been poured and should have our initial piece on Thursday. This does mean we are still on track for pre orders next week, I still have to get these things measured to see if they can flat ship in the US and how much they'll cost for overseas shipping (I'll probably work it out as a flat rate based on average cost).
As usual I'm still looking for art assistance on a mech project, and also I'm looking for references regarding resin casters (no chinese sources please). Still waiting to hear back from Zealot Miniatures regarding production capability. We just bought a second casting pot and will eventually produce a second set of molds allowing us to double production thus reducing processing times (currently estimating 2-3 months from pre order, I'm doubting that we'll be producing a mass of these with the expectation of building up stock)
Progress continues!

Wow, this is looking great!
The gatling gun looks a bit odd for my taste, but the annihilator and the plasma cannon? On point!

I was looking through this thread again and I think you could potentially have a second market if you made a 2 inch extension. I think the only difference between this and more modern tanks is the length. As it stands the turret and stowage bustle.rather get in the way of the engine deck cover. If you extended the deck a bit you would.solve that problem as well.having a more.modern set of dimensions rather than the 40k scale configuration.
Of.course, given the work it would.likey be to.implement, I can fully.understand you ignoring my.blathering

The gatling is based off the Gau-8's muzzel so take a look at the front of a Warthog for my inspiration. I'm glad the plasma and laser cannons are to your taste though.

Heh I guess you're going to probably want some kind of autocannon option then right?

Actually if you look at most modern designs like the Abrams or the Merkava tanks you'll see that unless the turret is rotated then the engine deck is almost completely covered. While I would enjoy capturing another market, redesigning the length of the vehicle would be a tremendous bit of work (total rework on the sponsons and hull).

Sadly not yet, but that's what this update is about!
Well good news, good news, and side news folks.
Zealot miniatures and I are now talking and if they can match or undercut my costs for productions I can soon start buying batches of tanks quickly! Unfortunately I'll have to provide a master for them as they want over $700 to print the tank from the files up. The downside of this is that production will be paused while I wait to finish working with them.
2nd good news, I've bought a second casting pot so if things don't take off with Zealot hopefully we can setup a second set of molds to increase production.
Meh news is I'm now working on some infantry designs to go along with the armor since I can't manage the design on the mech. First up is a nice plasma rifle that's currently at scale for powered armor infantry but will be scaled down for base infantry.
I'm hoping you folks will be patient with me while I work with casters in order to deliver a better quality product in a greater volume.
I'm also looking for other casters than Zealot, it never hurts to have more options.
Also still looking for an artist to assist in mech design as that's still a back burner project.

Woot. Update. Fair point on the modern turrets. Serves me right for posting while under the influence of world of tanks rather than actually checking modern tank designs
Just keep plugging away. I think the product is nice enough to garner interest when its ready to.roll.out.

So for this update I have four things for you. First is that I'm waiting on shipping estimates from Zealot, yeah really hyped, we've got casting estimates and numbers setting up.
Second is our pricing (subject to change,)
Durandal Main Battle Tank is $59.99 (Comes with main cannon and both hull weapons)
Each extra primary weapon is $7.99 (may be purchased separately)
Each CROW system is 14.99 (may be assembled as single piece, either ballistic or plasma)
And the accessory package is 12.99 (comes with Missile launcher, stowage container, and commo equipment)
Normally for the whole package that would be $127.92 but for anyone buying a full set it'll go for $114.99 (sadly thanks to congress I do have to charge tax on the internet now.)
Third is that considering that I'm getting shipping estimates I'm asking for anyone who's interested in getting one or more of these tanks in the next 3-4 months to please PM me with an amount. I need to build an estimate on how many of these suckers I'm going to need and shipping overseas is a pain in the carcass time wise.
Fourth is I've got some prints in the works on the small scale allowing me to give you folks something to stare at and enjoy (and also that I can get cast up much faster and on my own compared to the tank).
Grizzly Carbine
With hand
With sight A
With sight B
Plasma rifle
Nice Hand axe for a close combat weapon
Shortsword
Bastard Sword
Remember to hit me up with those PMs if you want me to start marking you down. If I don't know you want one I wont know to order enough!

Behold I'm not dead, just stuck in a holding pattern while dealing with professional casters.
While you folks wait I do have some small changes I've made to the base structure which you may or may not like.
I've centered the driver and moved the heavy weapons from hull mounted to coaxial position.
For those who want to use the turrets for leman russ tanks you'll have to just stuff some green stuff into the coax port then just sand over the plug. This fix is super easy compared to adjusting the turret plug so good luck.

Looking great! Glad to see you are still working on this.
I like the coaxial idea but one thing I would suggest is to widen the turret and mantlet so you can fit the coax' in a coax position.
Looks like it would be more fitting with the Abrams design which has the gun off centre to the mantle and the turret nearly as wide as the hull anyhow.

Yeah, an update!
Change to the heavy weapons look good. I might convert them as I like the hull-mounted weapons, but still looking really nice!

Hello! This is gorgeous, I would love to have it in my guard list! I don't suppose you would be selling the STL. file? I just got a 3-D printer and would love to print something like this!
