Also, being outnumbered in total numbers does not mean that you are outnumbered in every battle.

Stormcast literally attacked chaos by surprise, coming as lighting from the skies, when Chaos was sure about their victory.

You can have 100.000 chaos warriors and 2.000 Stormcast, but if your Chaos Warriors are divided in groups that vary in size in a full continent, but the Stormcast always come together at one single place to fight, they can absolutely win agaisnt a bigger force, even if individually one chaos warrior= one liberator.

Also, heroism. In old fantasy, Chaos Warrior , compared with Empire Greatswords, where in some histories equals, and in others superior. That didn't changed the fact that you had histories like the one single Great Sword regiment of 40 men that stood their ground and defended a breach in a wall killing something like 300 chaos warriors + thousands of barbarains in a siegue.

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

I feel like this panel from Roll Models #25 is relevant. Notice how in the heat of the battle, the Chaos Lords express is more "I hate Mondays" than "Must concentrate on the battle!" Note that in the next panel, the two Stormasts are being reforged having been absolutely wrecked by Chaos Lord Non-chalant.

An immmense factor is that Chaos fights itself, constantly and with total commitment. The rivalries and infighting among Order is less than that among just Khorne worshippers, let alone Chaos mortals as a whole. If they had half the unity Stormcast did the mortal realms would have been dust a long time ago.

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

Thats the same thing that happens with greenskins... the common motto of "If they united, they would burn down the galaxy/old world"
