The Dire Avenger Exarch comes with one standard out of the current box. It's a standalone part that can be attached to the aspect armor pack.

Could probably find them pretty easily on the secondary market.

Alternatively the Kabalite Sybarite has a similar one that could be converted pretty readily (it slots into a recess on the small of the back on the sybarite torso but a smidge of greenstuff would make short work of that for any aspect warrior).

Yeah, I know about the DAE. I've already glued all of those on though.

The fun part is that this edition is the first in a long time that I've taken a company ancient. I got a big fat banner in a lot of my builds now. That Relic banner is solid.

Banners are awesome. Every Blood Angels unit in my army that has to walk, has got a Sergeant and a Corporal with a banner. A red one for the Corporal and a black one for the Veteran Sergeant. Even the Terminator Sergeants get one. None of my friends use them, so I get them for free. ^^

Never really took to them. The standard bearers with the you it colors, yes but the back banners on the men, no. Just didn’t like them. Xeno’s like Eldar..... maybe.

You've never seen someone enforce the basic rules of the game that have been that way since (at least) 2nd ed?

TLOS has NOT been standard since 2nd ed...That game around was it 4th or 5th and even then at the start it wasn't as literal as it is now.

2nd ed. rulebook page 26- "However in some cases it will be difficult to tell if a LOS is blocked or not, and players must stoop over the table for a model's eye view. This is always the best way to determine if LOS exists- some players even use small periscopes or mirrors to check the views from their models!..."

3rd ed. Rulebook page 36- "Sometimes it may be hard to tell if a LOS is blocked or , so players must stoop over the table for a "model's eye view". This is the best way to see if LOS exists...
Enemy models and all vehicles, friend or foe, do block a unit's LOS if they are in the way, just like buildings and other terrain. enemy models will block the LOS to other models up to twice their height."

Looks like a duck, quacks like a duck. That right there is TLOS.

First kit I ever made I put a banner on my Sarge. Now I just put the banner topper on the backpack of the sarge. Makes for way easier storage.

TLOS was not the case in 4th ed. There were size categories.
