Meh tzeentch covenant is good, overwatch on 5+ is quite decent for r&h.

Additionally you can gap the 10 pts difference to guard with equipment, especially if you take mortars in militia units.

Btw nice looking models, need to follow your progress Excommunicatus, where do you upload your pictures to be able to show them off that way?

Wanted to do the same, since i am terrible and lazy at painting so as to get some discipline.
6+armor does not die to a stiff breeze, it dies to a snotlings fart. (all troops of r&h have 6+ and random ld of d6+2 and such a min detachment has no morale boost, therefore you might aswell don't field that and go for the gems of the list instead)

Is 5+ overwatch actually good at all? I can imagine many if not most games you would not even get charged...

If you mass enough artillery.
Additionally militia is worse in melee then in shooting so it is incentiviced to charge them.
That beeing said it is most usefull against melee armies as it allows for an additional round of shooting for militia, etc.

Edit ; If you are good at positioning you can benefit more from khorne, since s4 at a charge compensates their terrible hit chance and allows for quite a range. combine that with the banner that allows for losses to fight and on a charge turn you can quite handily out attrition a lot of other units.
