From what Jes said in the Vanguard video, the stuff that released alongside of Dark Imperium? It was "a taste" of what was to come.

We've now seen the other Phobos armored units(Infiltrators, Eliminators, and Reivers with supporting cast of characters) and some other Vanguard stuff got teased in the Lieutenant video. The Suppressors were the odd duck out as they're wearing not Phobos Armor but Tacitus Armor rather than the Gravis of the Inceptors.

We know there's a character coming for the Iron Hands in Gravis Armor rocking a thunderhammer and I wouldn't be shocked if we saw at least two more units equipped in Gravis Armor and supporting characters whenever the revised Marine book comes out. We've seen Aggressors and the Gravis Captain plus the Iron Hands character...I'm guessing we'll see a Troop type and a Heavy Support choice to round it all out.

About Suppressors, they are actually wearing a Gravis-Phobos mix called the Omnis pattern.

Looks more like Tacticus/Gravis, but the crossover is an important part.

Mark X armor is a completely modular system. this gives GW a LOT of room to do some oddball stuff with it.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

I don't believe in bare heads but it's one of the better ones

I only very rarely allow unhelmeted heads. Its just a said part of that upgrade that, to me at least, the bare head is better than the helmed ones.

I usually avoided unhelmeted heads because I'm rubbish at painting skin on things I'll have more than one of. Guilliman Flesh Contrast paint is magic in a bottle, so I no longer avoid it. My latest project has a big squad of helmetless Hellblasters to help differentiate them even more from their Intercessor brethren.

But back to the topic...I wanted to believe, but we've been had gents. Our own faulty expectations have ruined us.

I avoid helmeted heads for Space Marines. I think that all the helmets for Space Marines are terrible looking, especially the little scowly-face.

Fortunately, I have lots of heads with beards and braids and long hair, and the primaris models are very tolerant of headswaps.

Guardsmen, hear me! Cadia may lie in ruin, but her proud people do not! For each brother and sister who gave their lives to Him as martyrs, we will reap a vengeance fiftyfold! Cadia may be no more, but will never be forgotten; our foes shall tremble in fear at the name, for their doom shall come from the barrels of Cadian guns, fired by Cadian hands! Forward, for vengeance and retribution, in His name and the names of our fallen comrades!

I gotta be honest, you're probably the only person to think this as I've literally never heard this since I was playing, which is...God, 17 years?

There are other space wolves players, I can assume some of them also feel the same way. The Mk7-8 helmet with it's little scowly face grille and angry eyes just looks stupid, IMO. There's also a helmet that looks like a wolf head, which I also vehemently dislike.

I have yet to meet a person who feels the same way too, and I'm not sure why. Do people like the angry-face respirator? I do know a few people who don't like the Mk8 head but also don't want to have unhelmeted heads.

I goddamn hate angry face vox grill. MkX non-Phobos armor helmets are all around pretty damn solid IMO (Gravis, Intercessor and Hellblaster).

Maybe they will continue down the Alphabet, and introduce Diemos, Niemos, and Paimos armor?

It's not as good as the corvus but I like the Mk 8. I used to like the wolf helm too but the community wore that down a bit ago.

It's a little goofy looking, but Space Marines themselves are a little goofy looking. It'd be interesting to experiment with alternative helmets though.

I'd really like to know what MK IX armor is. my theory is it's MKX armor for non Primaris. OR.. it's a early Primaris Armor that is functionally the same as tacticus armor but lacks the modularity of MK X armor

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

I don’t mind the mk7 helmet, as it’s a riff on Star Wars stormtrooper, and I love the skull-face motif of stormtrooper armor.

As for helmeting space marines, I used to always leave the helmet off the sergeant to make him easier to identify, but now I prefer to leave it on and paint a stripe or have it decorated for identification.

It never ends well

Agreed that the Wolf helmet is absolutely revolting.

I love the angry face respirator. It is absolutely iconic. I've got a buddy who refuses to collect primaris just because they no longer have it.
The wolf helmet is not the greatest design, but I don't dislike it.

Always 1 on the crazed roll.
