My very first army was Wood Elves. My girlfriend (now wife) tossed them away on accident in 2008. She tossed the wrong box in the dumpster. Figured she was a keeper as I got home from work and she was in the dumpster looking for the box as she realized she tossed the wrong box (we just moved in). My next army was Tomb Kings and eventually I moved to Vampire Counts and then to Legions of Nagash. Vampires were my favorite competitive army from 6th-8th. I did enjoy playing Chaos though too - my next army was Warriors of Chaos (focus on Tzeentch and Slaanesh). They were primarily chimeras, ogres, trolls, and skull cannons (very little translated to AOS). Then I got a sweetheart deal for Seraphon (all old hammer models for like $100 and a forgeworld Slaan). Now I'm playing Ogors and loving it. I still have everything too

Boyd you didn't finish the story - did your GF/Wife manage to safe the WE or were they forever lost to the depths of the dumpster?

Wood Elves 4th edition, 1996. Ex gf bought it for me then said "don't ever send me into that store again" (it was an FLGS not a GW but I doubt that would have made a difference).

But! I had been collecting the models since Jes Goodwin's 1987 Wardancers and some other elves.

When I got back into the hobby in 2003 (see gf above) I bought a BoC army then WE in 2005. then Slaanesh Daemons (all Juan Diaz models).
