I'd be betting on £120-150 based on the small print of the free prize draw and the fact I think going above £150 for a starter box is a bad idea, even for GW. Yes, I know they're calling it a "Launch Set" or something but it's basically the starter box unless there's a whole other box out there that GW are keeping quiet about, which seems extremely unlikely.

Yep GW basically expects their current market to pick this up not so much brand new gamers. It's a short term product rather than a duel pack for the edition. They've basically done one huge print run and that will be it.
So they don't need to put rulers and dice into it because we've all got them already and GW "faction fancy" dice would put the cost up.

My bet is £120, but the fact they're saying it's not a starter set and it's for veterans is a concern, hopefully this isn't an attempt at justifying a new price point.
I'll buy it just for the rule book, and after selling the models will hopefully break even.

It is £120.

Also maybe a good time to point out - buy local. The $40 to $50 people might save on eBay will really help your struggling FLGS in these trying times.

Seconded. FLGS are really hurting right now, those few extra dollars going to them will help immensely.

I'm proooobably still going to buy it, but with full sprues and no E2B it is going to be $$$$.

Where in gods name do you get 400$ for a bunch of push fit models?

I doubt this box will be anywhere near the 300$ mark in the United States.

I have bad eyesight and originally thought they were full kits. I still think it will be damn near $300 though.

Industrial Terrain Set is £120, which is $200 US. Seems....really inexpensive.

Unless that's the non-limited starter set...At which point launch set could be 180£ for all we know.

But closest equilavents I put up last page. GW has no 120£ on sale atm.

It's a noble idea but gotta point out everyone's struggling at the moment, and while you could argue that this isn't exactly essential I wouldn't necessarily advise people against getting the best price. Also, unless your flgs delivers your going to have to risk public shopping.
Apologies if I sound melodramatic but have already lost one relative to this virus.

At least here FLGS can deliver via mail if you are worried.

Of course depends on each but for example here the gaming is done largely on the FLGS gaming area. So FLGS goes bust, that would basically end up miniatures for me with exception of odd tournaments(and if FLGS go bust elsewhere it's dubious are any tournaments going to be held...It's hard to imagine tournaments here survive if free locations go away)

Sorry for your loss.

Some of us transitioned to working from home with no interuption in paychecks. And while my company is not doing raises this year (and has laid off/furloughed a number of people) I’m not spending money on gas for my commute, going out to eat, etc. I’ve also got the government cash in the bank I’m willing to spend; it’s guilt free money.

I’ve been gaming long enough to see multiple FLGS come and go. And a replacement is not always prompt in showing up. There have been dark times without one. While the internet is a good substitute, it won’t push plastic around the table with you, or grab a beer after the game. If you can afford it, by all means spend a little extra to support your local. They are hurting. Not everyone can, and that’s OK. Painting and the hobby is important for people’s mental health, so it’s not as frivolous and expense as some would have it. If things are tight, do what you need to do. But if you have a little extra slack in your budget, help where you can.

Yeah to be clear I don't want anyone losing jobs or to see companies going bust. I think I've read before other nations are much more dependant on flgs for their gaming, most of the UK gamers (at least as far as I can tell) play in clubs not affiliated to any company, that being said if I did all my gaming at a place that sold models, I would out of loyalty purchase from them even if it was a bit more expensive.
To get back on topic, if the launch cost box is around £120, I'll be able to purchase it online for around £95, to me that's a considerable saving. I'll cherry pick what I want from it and sell the rest within my gaming group (whenever we all meet up again) or ebay.

Far as we can tell we've got one store confirming at £120 and the GW price confirming at £120 which whilst the latter isn't confirmed to be the box its very likely to be the case.

I don;t think we are going to see single faction boxs very often. and if we do it is going to be either start collecting, or the ones like SoB or AoS have, that come with codex and a ton of uneeded over prices stuff like dice and tokens etc.

If you have to kill, then kill in the best manner. If you slaughter, then slaughter in the best manner. Let one of you sharpen his knife so his animal feels no pain.

GW released both factions of the first Edition AoS Starter Set as stand alone Boxes

and we have seen Pictures showing the Individual Forces with Artwork first before we have seen the Box-Promo picture with both together

I say it is more likley that we see a Necron and a Marine Box with the Snap-Fit models sooner than we see the full unit boxes

Honestly the real issue isn't when or if the box runs out of stock; its how much lag time there is between that moment and when GW releases the content inside either on its own or in a new box. 2019 we had a lot of frustrations because GW would do these duel boxes and then had to wait sometimes up to a year for the new content in the box to go on individual sale.
