As an aside at least one of you needs a better microphone. If you're going to narrate over still photos then you want good audio so that its not distracting.
Also treat performances like acting; you have a script, you practice, you read, you re-record, you break it down into segments etc... Basically practice so that your delivery is as clean, clear and professional as you can make it. That will make it easier to listen too and that will improve peoples impression and attention to what you are saying.

Just like for video you want steady clearly captured shots that are well lit and focused at suitable distances and angles to show what you need.

Bit of feedback:

If you are going to talk about certain rule changes those should be in your title so that they are easily to find.

In addition, rather than simply listing what has been announced, focus on the factions/armies that you are very familiar with, and provide specific advice and analysis of how this will affect them, and new opportunities you can see.

I'd love to see more conversion videos. When I did my first jumpy smash captain a while back, there was hardly ANY decent videos on how to do it from whoa to go. What saved my low-modelling skill butt was a single video where a guy did a Blood Raven smash captain conversion, named and showed all the parts he was going to use, where he cut the base model, what was shaved etc. right up to the painting part. One video. Just one.

I'd love to see more videos like that, they'd be very useful!

Might not be helpful, as it's a rather different specialty, but I mostly watch model conversion videos.

I do hit up the occasional battle report, but I'm more likely to watch one for a system that I have trouble finding a game in (BFG and FO:WW were the last few I looked up before all gaming died off), rather than 40k.

Cheers bud.

We are planning army based chat and effects of 9th but we need to get the rules vids out first. Also didnt you poo poo the nids ideas i had ? Thats my main go to army .

Will be dropping soon Necron and Marine content in the upcoming weeks to take it back to current releases,

Also putting the rules in the title? There is quite a lot. Any idea on an example? Just so that I can understand your point clearer.

Thanks again.

No problem mate.

What I mean is the rule you will be discussinng/analysing should be in the title.

For example, "40k 9th edition Strategic Reserves"

I usually watch painting guides if I want to try something new or have to paint an effect I'm unfamiliar with (for example icy weapons).

Apart from that I enjoy battle reports and the Warhammer guy's hobby hangout (which is on Twitch, though).

Custom40k Homebrew - Alternate activation, huge customisation, support for all models from 3rd to 10th edition

Designer's Note: Hardened Veterans can be represented by any Imperial Guard models, but we've really included them to allow players to practise their skills at making a really unique and individual unit. Because of this we won't be making models to represent many of the options allowed to a Veteran squad - it's up to you to convert the models. (Imperial Guard, 3rd Edition)

I mostly watch battle reports, painting tutorials, tactica and rules study. But, as I'm getting older, I have no more interest in watching 2h+ videos. The more precise and concise the information, the better.

One thing I find really important is to have good 'voice' - I mean, like a conversation and not a monologue. I can't stand Auspex Tactics, for example, because his tone makes me sleepy. Chapter Master Valrak is another I'm not very keen of because his enthusiasm seems fakeish.

AI & BFG: / BMG: Mr. Freeze, Deathstroke / Battletech: SR, OWA / Fallout Factions: BoS / HGB: Caprice / Malifaux: Arcanists, Guild, Outcasts / MCP: Mutants / SAGA: Ordensstaat / SW Legion: CIS / WWX: Union

So that vid had all the changes from pre game to movement. Are you suggesting doing a vid on each change? A large chunk of the vid was about the strategic reserves to be fair to your comment. I also understand that it may be more widely searched. but that is what tags are for

Auspex has a nice voice but it is a tad robotic, However he is killing it on the youtube scene right now. hes been going less than a year and has about 40k subs. He gets the info out quicker than anymore. oddly quicker than GW in a sense as you gotta watch a 30min daily warhammer show and try to filter out the bits they let slip with rules etc. Where as you wait an hour, Go shower and eat and you can guarantee Auspex has a video up where hes done all the hard work for you and broken it down into a simple 10 min video. Hes had 2mil views in a month, madness

voted paint guides, both for models I own (was very useful for the AoS starter where for the first time I have followed GW schemes for colours) and stuff I don't but like the look of - the GW channel, Duncan's new one and others. I prefer the ones that go slowly and show you each actual step without assuming anything

also voted for 'other' for stuff like Text to speech, which I love plus Snipe & Wib, because I like how they present stuff and find the older stuff interesting (I started is 1st edition and still miss lots of it)

Mostly Battle reports. Just to watch how my faction is played by other gamers or to see fighting armies that no one owns here.

Looking for 60-90 min batreps, not including talks before the game actually starts, which I always skip.

Sometimes interesting tutorials about how to scratch build stuff.

Make no mistake, we are entering the Age of Auspex. His Patreon earnings now dwarf many established channels with 100k+ subs, and I predict he'll grow and grow. What's so impressive is that he's gone about it in such a unique way and made sure to keep the channel aesthetics clean and simple, allowing him to put out an incredibly high volume of videos.

Well, just battle reports and sometimes painting tutorials.
The rest? No, too less time.
