This model deserves praise at least for giving us all this comments. Best thread in weeks!
Next release will be Momma Ventris with a pot and a pair of scissors.

No wolves on Fenris wrote:How do you get this model then if it’s a release with a specific novel? Will the model be available in stores or is it limited edition or GW site only...?
We won't know definitively until nearer the time - previous BL models have been available in GW stores and on their website. I think they may even have been available for LGS as well, but I'm not 100% on that.
Could be a one-weekend-only deal, or just "while stocks last" - having said that, Valerian and Aleya are still available on GW UK, so it may even become a regular stock item. Severina Raine is still up from 2019, too.
Essentially, until there's an announcement I've given up on predicting methods of distribution with this sort of model

I don't think they're permanent range items, I just think they're not all that popular. I'd never heard of Severina or Valerian/Aleya until they previewed the models, and I've read a fair amount of black library in my time. My guess is Eisenhorn sold really well and they're trying to reproduce that success

Tacticus Mk X? Hard Pass. At this point I want gravis or GTFO.
The head might be aight for a funky Guardsman if you're into the whole "dumb and dumber" thing
I didnt even mind the squarish feet.. but the cape sculpt is a bit naff innit

Eisenhorn is still available on the webstore, so they seem to be in near-permanent production.
That said, the "LIMITED TIME OMG BUY IT NOW OR NEVER!!!" method seems to do really well for them, so I'd not be shocked if they turned out to be time-limited in the future.

GaroRobe wrote:Thats a lot of little things off about him. Square feet, the waist seems kind of thin, the green trim of the shoulder pads is definitely too thin, and look at the elbow joint of the sword hand. If the black part is where the elbow is meant to bend, I'm not sure he'd be holding the sword that way
The wasp waist has been a staple for Marines since forever. GW (or specifically Jes Goodwin / John Blanche) explicitly made that a key feature, along with the oversized eye lenses, of their Anime-inspired look for Marines since the early 2000s.
Here's John Blanche on the original plastic Terminators.
This recent overhaul of the Terminator design brings it into line with progress made in appearance of the Space Marines in general. The suit is now bigger and takes on the “Anime” proportions bestowed on the rest of the range – longer legs, wider shoulders and a bigger chest. The larger bases and plastic component nature of the hard copies allows for more versatile poses especially in the legs giving the suits more dynamism. The hip shields are inherited from the new Grey Knight designs. Characters in Mark 3c suits are available but no traitor versions have yet appeared.

Edit - Actually a kick in the rear would also be totally justified, that head is just wrong all over the show, how could they think that looked like Ventris.
And what’s going on with the Battletech feet?
To be fair, it kinda shows why nearly every model being released for 40k and AoS have masks or helmets. I guess GW just can't do faces anymore.

Currently most played: Silent Death, Mars Code Aurora, Battletech, Warcrow and Infinity. |

I think most people are being unfair.
Thats actually how Ultramarines look, down to a T. The derpyist chapter needs a derpy leader.

I think that they just can't paint faces that have such fine details on them.

Virulent Space Marine dedicated to Nurgle

Since the Ultramarines Omnibus was my first foray into BL, I was excited when I saw the video title. I am disappointed by the model. I get that the pose is based on a book cover, but I much prefer something more dynamic. Also, the head is a mess and I hope it's a result of GW painting or that there's a helmet option included. In my dreams I also want a Pasanius and Learchus model, but who can say if we'll get anything else from these novels. I don't even play loyalists but I do want to get this model for the nostalgia. Might have to do a patrol of Ultramarines.

"Show me where it says that in the codex!" said Learchus.
"You know brother that I cannot." said Uriel.

More marine characters ? Heck yeah, I need one to hang from each nipple and each ear. I'm sure GW already knows that, so that'll be 5.

I think a Learchus and Pasanius would also help their Primaris lieutenant quota also
