I can't stick to a paint scheme. Partway through painting for an army, I'll think "I'm bored of this. The next guys are going to be purple instead."

And I end up painting every unit in a different scheme.

easy fix -- just play like 11 different game systems like I do. you may never have one fully painted army (aside from skirmish games), but you certainly won't be bored.

Got a few:

- I lick my brushes (except when I paint with enamel / metallic paints).

- If I get inspired to build a certain conversion / terrain piece, I need all the parts and tools yesterday. Sometimes this leads to stealing bits from older finished models..

- I jump from a project to project.

- I'm quite slow to try new techniques and tend to stick to the same methods over and over again.

I feel all of this. Saw a conversion with an AoS Lumineth Stonemage and an Eldar Farseer and HAD to order both kits immediately. I don't plan on actually building it until the new codex drops, but figured if I didn't buy it now I'd probably forget about it lol.

I'm very slow to try new techniques too. I've had an airbrush for a couple of years now, but keep making excuses to just do everything by hand. Mostly I'm an experience learner that needs someone there explaining things and pointing out what I did wrong. Watching YouTube videos or step by step tutorials doesn't work for me.

I'd say my worst habit is comparing my last painted mini to the box art, getting discouraged one or two models in, and just stopping, because they don't look as good as the box.

Aha! Of course.

Well, I don't think I'm up to 11 yet, but I'm well on my way there.
