Especially given 40K appears to be a game of “play your buffs right” these days. Not a criticism of the game as such, but something to keep in mind, as you can field an identical list to a Tournament Winner, on identical boards, against identical opposing armies….but if you don’t know the combos and when to use them? Don’t expect the same results. Because often, there’s more than one combo on offer, and which one is best is of course down to your risk assessment. And your risk assessment needs to know……what sucks about your army, and how your opponent might be trying to exploit it.

Because there’s so much more to any wargame than cheesing a list.

"Combos" aren't difficult. It's having units in the right places and making the right decisions while managing your CP. On top of that is scoring and denying.

I love playing against orks and especially so when the pilot is good at it. I would say they're my preferred enemy but they goes back to RT where my homie played them. We played every day for 2+yrs so my Salamanders probably killed an entire Waaaaaggggghhhhhhs worth while my chapter was severely depleted. Good times.
