I know that this is really a pipe dream considering guard are already getting fleshed out a ton, but I’d like to see some stuff added that’d maybe be a little more Cold War aesthetically

So my picks would be
-Plastic thunderbolt/avenger fighters, or something all new to fit the role, I feel like something styled like a 60s third gen jet fighter could look pretty cool grim-darkified
-New Valkyrie/Vendetta/Vulture dual kit, maybe with some new options to add an atgm carrying version
-New Chimera kit with an ifv version like the old (kronus?) version that maybe comes with a more powerful turret gun and a couple Hunter killer missiles but less transport capacity
-Guard armored Goliath truck, maybe with some kinda rule that makes them work with heavy weapons teams
-Flesh out tempestus so that it feels like you can run a full air cavalry army of them
-New basilisk, no good reason except I really just don’t like the current one. I think the mortian one and the Armageddon pattern both look way better but are also way more expensive

Okay, a bit late to the party but since my original Wishlist actually has come partly to fruition, I just gotta throw my pennies on this. I’ll stick with my original wishlist and here’s how I’d break it out:

For a “starter set” or 2-army “battle box”, however you’d like to phrase it:

1. Jugger Lord in plastic with 3x Chosen/Zerkers on Juggernauts. [The part that seems to be coming true!] I’m not really sure how “new” these models would be other than putting wider, rider legs on new Zerker bodies for the Zerkers on existing Juggers but I’m still counting these as new models.
2. Blood Slaughterer [in plastic and in the new codex, obvs].
3. Full 10 man squad of new Zerker models.

To back that up and more fully flesh out WE/WB I would also throw down a new Combat Patrol box with the following:

1. Full 10 man squad of new Zerker models.
2. New named Lord for WE w/ Melta gun, 2-handed chain axe and 2 hounds that essentially act like Tau drones to soak wounds but also do melee.
3. Predator with Multi-Melta Sponsons and turret mounted Twin Multi-Meltas.
4. A dedicated transport with the following: [This is the only change I’m making to my original wishlist.]
— Hull mounted chain-weapons for CC; WS 3+/4+/5+, A 4/D3/1
— On a successful charge, embarked units are immediately moved into Engagement range with charged unit.
— Ignores movement modifiers from terrain during Charge at the penalty of 1 Mortal Wound.

ALL CSM is in desperate need of Named Characters and specialty units. From a quick look-see, Blood Angels alone have seven EIGHT named characters, special Pred, 1-3 chapter specific Dreads and the Sanguinary Guard. Space Wolves clock another 6-7 named characters and 2 named Dreads with another 3-5 specialty units. Keeping that in mind, my wishlist sounds less ‘wishy’ and more just ‘fleshing out’. And realistically, Khorne CSM have gotten more love than any other save Nurgle. GW just doesn’t seem to have a clue where to go when it comes to the other cults or Legions.

Noise Marines. Noise Marine Terminators. Emperor's Children Bikers. Doomrider (done seriously) as an EC bike character. World Eater Terminators. World Eater Bikers. A separate release 3-model Oblit kit. A separate release Venomcrawler kit. A 3-model plastic Grotesque kit. A plastic Mandrake kit (that look like the current ones, who are awesome, but FineCost). Multi-part, multi-pose, multi-option HQs (Marine Captains, DE Archons, Ork Warbosses, etc.). Primaris Terminators. Primaris Devastators. Plastic Swooping Hawks (my fav Aspect - I want them in plastic!). Plastic Striking Scorpions (my second fav Aspect!). Plastic Fire Dragons.

More Dreadnoughts of every size and shape. Bigger Chaos Knights (like the Castellan, but Chaosified).

So here’s a thread informed by my earlier one, where we attempted to count the number of kits (brand new and redo) released during 9th Ed. Whilst not entirely accurate, it clocked in at around 120 kits across the now 20 or so Factions (not including specific Marine Chapters).
And one of those kits - a whole one - was a new Tyranid model. The first since 2014. Incredible!

What I want is plastic Lictors, Biovores and Pyrovores. I just doubt we'll get any of that, in favour of some new rando big bug that we don't need.

Sure, let’s go back to 3.5 where it was nearly anything goes for your Lords. I’m all for it but Named characters seem to get more advantages for less points. Add to that GW seems to be removing instead of adding options at a terrifying rate and it just seems more likely we’d get one instead of the other.

There was an idea a couple of us were tossing about that brought in more Named characters that were HQ who didn’t take up slots and were less Lords than notable Aspiring Champs. Work it where various Lieutenant level HQs could be added to a list without taking up slots as long as their affiliate unit choice was included. For example: a Haarken-style HQ choice who could be included in Detachments which had at least 2 Raptor/Talon units. These Named ACs wouldn’t necessarily be locked to any specific Legion or Cult and would instead require specific unit combinations. That could be used to encourage more interesting and varied list construction or be more basic, as per my example, and simply buff their associated units.

I would like to see Tau get a sort of heavy/support weapons squad equivalent that can be mixed into Fire Warrior squads. Perhaps to give an excuse to allow for the pathfinder weapons like Rail Rifles to be given to Fire Warriors while adding something like a Pulse Machine Gun (perhaps with a design inspired by the Bren or Type 99 MG to keep with the sorta Japanese leaning themes). An infantry portable airburst fragmentation projector would be interesting as well to give the Tau some indirect fire capabilities (pretending that 10th edition rules don't end up being pants which would probably make such a concept not actually function in an interesting way).

Personally, I've held that they should get an XV-15 battlesuited Troops choice.

It's about the right size to be a "heavy" infantry option, without overshadowing the XV-25 Stealth Battlesuits.

Sorry, I'm old, but I just learned about them in a video about memes of 90s musicians on youtube. I had no idea there was a literal white trash gansta rap demo. Makes a lot of sense.

Rap/hip-hop really did genuinely go global. You can probably find members of nearly any demographic trying to spit lyrics to a beat. It's pretty phenomenal.

World Eaters
Red Butchers
Khorne Berzerkers should have a couple of Flamers chucked in there. It is "Kill! Maim! Burn!" after all.
Some sort of special Havoc squad. I'd just let them take Heavy Flamers or a Heavy Bolter with more shots, but they'd get some sort of bonus over regular Havocs.

Tau
XV15's would be pretty sick.
Broadsides with the traditional back-mounted Railguns
New Farsight

Space Marines
Terminator Command Squad

Thousand Sons
Scarab Occult bodyguards. I'm imagining something like a pair of Termies both with Force Staves, bit like Phoenix Guard.

Not necessarily new models, but the Master of Possession needs to be released by himself. He has his own sprue so I'm wondering why it hasn't happened yet. Also, I hope that the Greater Possessed are also re-released.

Flayed Ones cheaper? In price of pt cost, or both?
