Just had an email from Goblin Gaming saying the UK release has been delayed until the 12th August.
update, confirmation from Modiphius:
"Unfortunately we have a bit of bad news. UK webstore pre-orders of Fallout: Factions - Battle for Nuka World starter sets are delayed until 12th August. I repeat, only if you pre-ordered from our UK webstore (modiphius.net) or a UK/EU retailer. This delay will not affect pre-orders from our US webstore (modiphius.us.)
The situation is out of our control: international freight continues to suffer delays due to the instability around the Red Sea and congestion out of China. We’ve alerted you as soon as we learned about this, and will continue to keep you updated.
What this means, however, is that bundles with dice packs from the UK will ship together. UK webstore customers do not need to amend your preferences if you filled out the form last week. If you had previously completed the form and opted for the dice to be removed from your order due to the original delay, we will now ship everything together and the dice will remain part of your order.
As an apology and thanks for your understanding, we’re issuing affected customers a £10 voucher to spend on our UK webstore. Voucher codes will be sent in a separate email to the one echoing this post.
Thank you again for your patience, we’re sorry that Fallout Factions continues to suffer delays, but we’ll continue to keep you up to date. If you have any questions please reach out to our customer service team at support@modiphius.com"

This game really has the worst luck. 2x delayed (at least for UK/EU) + no marketing after the first delay so it feels like the game is already forgotten about by it's publisher.

And the lead developer jumped ship
The old meta is dead and the new meta struggles to be born. Now is the time of munchkins.

I thought about mentioning that, as it's not the best for the game, but I also feel like James left because he had a much better offer to be head of game development for a company vs all the delays or anything modiphius did. But ya, part of the cursed bad luck I guess.

I hope the expansions aren't too far round the corner. I feel like this game will live or die based on how quickly they can get some of the more recognisable factions out in plastic.
Well Raiders and Super Mutants are already announced for plastic sets in the coming months, and people seem fairly certain part 2 of wave 10 is bringing both Survivors and Brotherhood to plastic also. Hopefully the expansions for Fallout Factions will come along fairly swiftly following the plastic sets, or it may well not last long. It does look promising though, as a game. Something on a small board and over in 3 rounds? Perfect for a few fast games in an afternoon

We know because we've been told multiple times they're coming in plastic.
They were saying they wanted all 4 plastic kits out this year back in March but I don't think that's possible with how many issues they've had getting the X-01 kit and Factions to retail.

This allegedly was a shipping snafu tho, it shouldn't have much impact on production?

It might impact whether Distributors and stores are interested though in terms of 'too much stuff in too short a time' for what they'll see as a minor game
and depending on how those conversations go it may make more sense to delay the later stuff to open up the gap between releases (or with luck they may not need to)

The x-01was mostly done in December of last year, we saw the completed boxes, but they didn't get released until May which was likely shipping issues.
And factions has had months of shipping delays. I don't see how they can get all 4 kits out this year with those kind of delays.

I have no doubt at all Survivors and Brotherhood are coming, its just whether in Wave 10 part 2 or as part of Wave 11 is all I'm thinking, as 4 double frame plastic kits in addition to the 3 from Factions and the X-01 is a lot of plastic for a smaller scale company like Modiphius to produce in 1 year for a single IP. I hope we see them both sooner, as I really want some more generic settlers with a few more options myself.

They're in wave 10 part 2 which the resin won't even start releasing until February/March of next year as part 1 is still mostly sticking to 2 boxes a month (and no December releases) and won't be finished until Jan/Feb depending if they do a few 3 releases a month (like July with mothmen).
warl0rdb0b wrote: July is actually a 5 box month, the Crater/ Foundation leader sets also came out this month.
those are the august releases.
We had 1 in June (ghouls) *promos are not counted as a standard release 3 in july (2 cultist boxes and mothman box) 2 in August (crater and foundation).

Be interesting to see the intended release cadence in terms of the (nigh on confirmed) starter style sets in different regions; whether they end up being actual starter boxes or 'just' a book expansion alongside the plastic releases for the associated factions. Presumably something like DC Ruins for the Brotherhood/Mutants and Boston for Survivors/Raiders. There's going to be fairly substantial gaps between the plastic releases and no guarantee that the full faction rules will be in a timely manner considering that that they're effectively still in playtest phase with the GYB lists and Bethesda's approvals process can take forever.
warl0rdb0b wrote: So they are, my mistake. Bit odd for them to be up and ready to order already, but I can appreciate the staggered release schedule.
People have been asking for more info on upcoming releases so they can actually budget. The FWW/Factions crew is working on making sure people know what's coming out a month ahead of time from the conversations on Discord.

We should be getting the standalone "Fallout Factions" rulebook later this year that is just generic fallout setting with the Core 4 FWW/Factions well Factions (BoS, Settlers, Raiders, Super Mutants). From there we really don't know what their plans are. One would think they'd tie Factions and FWW releases together some for a while. So if wave 11 in FWW is Far Harbor with more institute and Children of Atom that we get a Factions themed ruleset. I don't think they can do a box every year or 16months (not sure what GW's release is for Warcry or similar games) but they have mentioned that Nuka World will not be the only box set as you said so I'd think that would tie up with whatever FWW wave 12 is? Maybe another FO76 wave or TV show?

Just a quick FYI; my Factions starter box (ordered direct from Modiphius) arrived today so they're actually looking to be slightly ahead of schedule on the UK release.

Good to know, though I do expect my copy to be a bit behind as I ordered the Homestead expansion alongside it, good to know its in hand for people though now.

Friend of mine pre-ordered it, but it has been delayed without an ETA. We live in Portugal.
