That's why I like 3D printing, because I can print all the really weird and wild stuff that most companies probably wouldn't sell, like way better versions of different miniatures for Warhammer that look way cooler than what most of the miniatures are. Artel W is now selling 3D files, which I'm really excited about, as I think their Miniatures look far superior to what most of what games Workshop has to offer. It also allows me to print out a lot of nice cartoony '90s-looking miniatures as well as custom chibi ones for D&D. I don't see what this has to do with the thread topic. Supershandy was talking about feeling like the market was saturated with models already, and that most of them weren't very unique, and I was just replying with my thoughts on that. Here's the link to the post https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/818842.page#11818719 Automatically Appended Next Post: On another note, I'm interested to see if any of the models are compatible with Warhammer (scale-wise). It might be interesting to have some done up as cultists, i'd assume so as from the video it looks like they're on 32 mm bases, which leads me to presume their heroic scale.

For personal 3d printing I would agree however, Im disappointed with the number of companies moving to 3d printing because it never seems like they get the chemistry right. I had a model snap the other day because I missed a nub of a printer support.

I'd be happier buying 3D printed models if someone comes up with a printer that can print in HIPS at a commercial level of quality. Sadly, that's unlikely.

The bad witch is the definite pick of the bunch.
The sword is blue, so it's probably a summoned or transmuted weapon. More likely than not it's big and showy because sorcery always goes hand in hand with a big, showy ego.
But yeah, the undead band is nice, especially the witch.

There are actually resins coming to market now that are pretty much that, at least in terms of the qualities of the final mini(ie rigid and fairly sturdy, with a bit of flex, while being easy to cut and shape if you want). They're about double the price of buying ABS-like and flexi resins and mixing your own concoction that does something similar, but they take the guesswork out of it and costing 20p instead of 10p per model is less of an issue for a business probably planning to sell them at a hefty markup, so that might be their plan.
Either way, I concur with the general sentiment that the humans are pretty meh but the undead are very nice indeed. Do we have any info about scale yet? I think they'd look excellent mixed with the Underworlds skellies(the first ones that came out), providing they aren't gigantic by comparison.

I like the undead a lot, and the lady with the huge sword in the human group is alright. The other humans are lazy

At the 41 second mark of the video that BrookM posted it's 32mm scale.

I think the humans are classically fantasy and look good, it's just that the undead are far far better. I can't believe more people aren't impressed by the skeleton with the big executioner sword. Big aura

The Baron's retinue is pretty awesome.
Love the archer drawing the arrow from his ribcage.
The Greatsword minion is sweet. But maybe there is a headswap with a helmet.
One note.
The dentistry field in this universe is great!
Not a single tooth missing or out of place!
I will get these if the price is not GW-realms.

I've seen a lot of miniature companies just start 3D printing everything, and I hate it, especially when they're using the cheapest stuff ever and not adding anything that makes it somewhat flexible to where it doesn't shatter instantly when it hits the ground. Automatically Appended Next Post: On a similar note, does anyone know if they're going to be plastic or resin? (normal 3d printer resin)

They've said they're using a mix of plastic and resin, but they're not sure yet if the resin will be cast or printed.
