I kind of like it, I like the classical archetype fantasy style it's in.
It's nicely sculpted, and looks nice enough to paint. It's not particularly exciting as a first release, though. Looks like a fairly bog standard unit champion model.
Okay, again it's a relatively simple model but I like him and he looks like something I can knock out in a sitting instead of agonizing over fiddly details of an overdesiged model. A real palette-cleanser model.
Just like Not-Strongheart, I could see myself picking this guy or ones like him if the price is right. But I'm not gonna buy armies or jump on a KS for him.
We hope you guys have enjoyed this reveal. We will have a lot more info about the game next week. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
Cheers

I really quite like them. Some properly fantasy stuff done well that reminds me slightly of the Overlord games and isn't just dark for the sake of being edgy. I wasn't a big fan initially but definitely growing on me
So it's apparently a skirmish game and not just a model line (sorry if that was already revealed and I didn't notice). I wonder if you can use any model and if they'll have DIY rules for use. For me, that would be a heavy deciding factor.
Also, I definitely wasn't expecting the silhouette of the guy leaning on the zweihander to be undead.

Hard plastic for the "core warbands" according to the video above. Expansion pacts are going to traditional poured resin and/or flexible 3d printed but they're still deciding.

And of course, Duncan will be doing painting tutorials...

Best looking undead Ive seen in awhile. It will depend on if it gets hyped locally. Ive been burned too many times to try and hype another game myself.
The News and Rumors section is all about surprises. I'd certainly hate it if we got 100 posts saying "I know something you don't know..." - malfred
Big fan of the skeleton fella with the two handed sword. I like the Baron and the classic fantasy skeletor vibes. The humans are fine, nothing wrong with them but the undead stuff is absolutely head and shoulders the best

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

From what they said in other videos, the main warbands are HIPS and then they will release characters/specialists in either 3D print or poured resin (they said they haven't decided yet).
Galas wrote: What are those. A single resin warband? HIPS miniatures? Do we have details? I can see buying a box of the shielded infantry if they are HIPS.
Most (if not all) of your questions have been answered in the video BrookM posted HERE

My point exactly, it does seem a little bit of an odd direction mind as I would have thought his bigger market would have been teaching painting. But then this might be Trans Atlantis Games pushing it, unless Death Reaper Games is someone else using Duncan Rhodes to push their product?
That's why I like 3D printing, because I can print all the really weird and wild stuff that most companies probably wouldn't sell, like way better versions of different miniatures for Warhammer that look way cooler than what most of the miniatures are. Artel W is now selling 3D files, which I'm really excited about, as I think their Miniatures look far superior to what most of what games Workshop has to offer. It also allows me to print out a lot of nice cartoony '90s-looking miniatures as well as custom chibi ones for D&D.

I don't see what this has to do with the thread topic.
The thing about Warhammer is that no one person can grasp the fullness of it.
