I don't think the intention was to "slur" that person. Things were discussed and the internet is a public forum. Nothing was discussed here that wouldn't be discussed in front of the person in question. Me_person only realized the issue of the prince well after the game was done and I think the discussion was more of an FYI for him. He stated it had no effect on the game.

What the real problem here is there are those who like to stir the pot and make this into something it isn't.

No stone was cast. His prince was illegal. It's only a fact not a call for an execution or a witch hunt as others have put it.

There is little use in pointing out what another local did, even if it is stated as unintended.

I disagree. If that local was making a honest mistake then it helps him. If he was being dishonest then it helps everyone else. Pretty simple really.

I don't think Me_Person meant to intentionally make a dig at Garreth but it would be easy to have interpreted it that way. After all the Necro hoopla better to let such things stay under the public radar... PMs are great for that.

I dont know about the wrong part I never saw the list I am stating that you guys were accusing his lord of being illegal. For me its Innocent until proven guilty. Unless I see his list and look at the Chaos codex with a fine tooth comb and see its illegal; then I shall say I am wrong or if you can accuratetly present his armylist online 100% accurate and show me where the validation of the army list goes wrong then I will admit I am wrong but until then there is no proof until I see the armylist.

It was accused of being illegal based on what the player said that his lord had. Obviously Me_person did not see the list.

The only thing people are saying he may be guilty if is making a mistake. I don't think anyone here is saying that he is intentionally cheating. I have checked the codex as well as others and when you add up everything that he said he had on the prince it was too much. I don't need to see a list when the player tells you that. The list may show the proper prince loadout but the player may have made the mistake. Often when buidling lists we switch stuff around 10+ times and we may be remembering a previous build.

Yep, we all do make mistakes and that's exactly what we thought this was. Nothing more. What gets me is that people jump on this sort of thing even when it was 100% true.

No, I didn't see the list. If I had, there would have been two possible outcomes, either there was no problem on his list and he made the mistake in the game, not in his list, or I would have seen the error and I would have pointed it out to him. Either way, it doesn't matter any more, nor did it matter at any point in time. I highly doubt it affected the outcome of any game in any significant way, if at all. I brought it up as an FYI in the same reply were I was explaining why his army was legal.

If any one has anything to add to this thread besides feeding the flames, then please do so. Otherwise, let what I intended to be a simple RTT report end.

Well someone do ask Garreth to show his army list and then we can see for sure 100% and not speculation if its legal or not. Sorry for being real offensive but I dont the way you treated him earlier and without looking at the armylist first.

So please innocent until proven otherwise.

Garreth told  Me-Person what his lord had. When you add those things up it comes out to be too much. It doesn't even matter what is on the list at this point as no matter how you look at it the lord was still illegal.

The only thing that can be told by looking at it is to see if he made the mistake on the list  or in the telling  of it. Either way it doesn't matter.

So please innocent until proven otherwise.

Sorry to say this but based on what Garreth told Me_person about his lord he is officially guilty of a misatke. There is simply nothing to speculate.

Hey there fellas,

A friend of mind told me you were discussing my list and the potential illegality of it. So I thought I'd come on to clear up any and all confusion. I am not pointing any fingers, though I would like to thank those who defended me. To end all argument this was my lord:

Daemon Prince of Khorne (205 Pts) (I'll run it through individually since the points are in question)
1 Mark of Khorne 10 Pts
1 Daemonic Armour 20 Pts
1 Daemonic Resilience 10 Pts
1 Daemonic Stature 15 Pts
1 Berserker Glaive 40 Pts
1 Furious Charge 15 Pts
1 Personal Icon 10 Pts
1 Spiky Bits 10 Pts
1 Collar of Khorne 5 Pts
1 Feel no Pain 10 Pts

So my daemonic points are: 20 + 10 + 15 + 40 + 5 + 10 for a total of 100pts.

I did not use essence this time around. And if you recall mike one of your suits put a lucky wound on him and I think it was the other suits or one of your skimmers (in the next turn) that knocked down his last 2. I remember failing my feel no pain and invuln (which I rolled together) twice, at which point I removed him. Which ever it was that killed him, took his last 2 wounds down.

Also, I don't remember using 9 attacks, but if thats the case then I had one more and I apologise. Sometimes I drop something and give him mutation in my other versions of this lord. But you have to admit, the lord wasent in combat as much as I would have liked (you killed him rather early, think it was turn 2 or 3). He killed (or penetrated) way more than was needed in each instance of him being in combat. If I did indeed roll 9 attacks then it wouldn't have had an impact on the game. As I can't fully remember how many I rolled I'll just leave it as I "may" have been mistaken. Hope thats good enough for you.

Plus, I think we both know it was my daemons that won the game for me.

Let me just say I always enjoy playing with you guys and look forward to facing you in many RTT's to come. Although to state it frankly this is the worst I've ever done in an RTT (never not won something b4) I enjoyed myself immensely. Especially our game mike.

P.S. I just needed one more turn Ernie... I'll get ya next time!

Also, if anyone wants to see the rest of the list I can re-print it out on army builder (still have it saved, hence where I just copy/pasted the above lord from).

One way or the other, as I said, the prince didn't affect the outcome of the game. If he was illegal, then he still wouldn't affect the outcome of the game, as the judges at sci-fi treat any thing less then blatant cheating with a honest concern to fix the problem, not to punish the person who made an error. It was inded a very fun game, and I look forward to a rematch at the next RTT in September, which will be the biggest yet at sci-fi for many reasons.

P.S Also, without your leadership, the chaos forces in the 2nd mega battle suffered a crushing defeat... he he he.

Hope you didn't think anyone was "bashing" you here as it wasn't the intent even though there were others who tried to make it look that way.

I know I will be bringing my 1850 Word Bearer list. Mine differs from WhiteDevil's a little bit, I should post that soon.

A lot of the GW sfatters are awesome gamers. I am sure they will be ready to flex ther muscles.

Eh, not tough to beat so much as a lot of us play tournaments and have a lot of experience in what to expect. I also agree with Lazarus. It will be cool facing new competition. I'm more curious to see their paint jobs and convertions.
