Trust me, the full game is much better than the free version.

Making giant penis statues online to piss of admins, or making deathtraps to other players is also pretty fun

People weigh more than animals though, so you need more tnt to launch that.

It's amazing how cathartic this game can be when you have a plan and time to go through with it. I just mined out a about 1700 blocks of cobblestone, to say nothing of the dirt and gravel, in a pinwheel style mine.

That's one arm of it, with C being the center, E being an empty space, and B being a theoretically unharvested block (unless it's a resource). There's four arms in a pinwheel shape.

More tnt? It already uses 73. If that's not enough for you seek help.

You can never have enough TNT.

fun fact kiddies, 320 tnt does nothing at all to a single obsidian block.

While I agree in principle what I'm learning of minecraft cannon physics suggests that there is an upper limit of usefulness when it come to the volume of TNT used in a gun.

Yup.

Obsidian has a block resistance of 6000. Cobblestone has a block resistance of 30.

All of it naturally occurring. The cobblestone was me blocking water or lava leaks.

Nice, I'd be careful with that though. Would suck to hack through one of those blocks only to dump lava everywhere. Mining that crap is a pain. I need to find a nice big deep lava lake so I can just cast the stuff in place. I'm going to try building a cannon that way. Experiment with cobble stone to get a design I like then once I finalize it I'll form it, chop out the cobblestone, and cast obsidian in place of it. Why make a cannon out of obsidian? Because they're going to go on top of my towers. And if a 10 to 20 TNT cannon blows I'd rather not have it vaporize the top half of my towers in the process.

Water will do that job well enough, if designed properly.

I got ontop of it. It was apparently a single layer of lava, with only two blocks of lava left which I have moved to the center of my snow fortress as lava lamps (so to speak).

Water does the job for the propellant, but if you futz up the projectile you've got a live bomb sitting on the pad.

It can still work though. You need to have water source blocks sitting in the ceiling so that when the top tnt blocks drop, the water drops with them. Design it properly and the water will only fall down, and you won't have to alter the arrangement of redstone.

I've found a nice place to build a fort, i'm going to move around a lots of dirt to get it looking nice and flat.

It's basically several mountains which are joined together in a circle, there's a hole in one side which I will make a gigantic gravel wall/entrance. Get in now creepers!

Well, I suppose I managed it, but I'm not sure that going to hell is quite what I had in mind when I thought of getting out of the tundra clime.

Mattieu~~~~ It's not that eldar are bad, it's that they require a lot of intergration between units. Also, that doesnt prove anything other than GW has a huge hard-on for marines, and, given the option between making a xeno the best psykers or making a marine the best psyker, they will 9 times out of 10 choose the marine.

What I need to do is go to a mountainous area (IE, away from this tundra clime) and build a skull fortress complete with eyes weeping magma flows. Sure it's copying Yahtzee a bit, but I still want to see if I can do it properly.

You might as well go all the way and build a giant cock and balls.

This thread on the offical forums shows two videos of the edge of the map. The first video, in the OP, shows the outsides of the edge lands. The second video (scroll down a bit) is right at the edge and shows the insides of the edge lands.

Apparently the map has loaded over a million blocks at the edge and thats why the terrain is so messed up. Yes, hacks were used but it would take a long, long time to reach the end without them.
