I've been reading your thread for quite a while now and I must say it loud: AWESOME! I like the fact, that every bits on the model makes sence and fits perfectly. An Eye for Detail, indeed! Keep it up!
It's a shame I found this plog relatively late - I could pull some ideas from your ganger with minigun for my heavy guy... Well, I'll steal some anyway for future projects, if you don't mind

I'll post some new pics for you today.
Samarianne is supposed to be clad in an almost black plain metal armor, contrasting with her gory red body glove and the brass and gold colors of her more sophisticated equipment, like her witch-seeker-visor and her plasma arquebuse.

Thanks mate, I'd be honoured by everything you steal and interested in any refinements you make to my ideas, so drop me a line when you build that heavy.
And it's never too late, this blog will be going on and on, I have so many plans, I could keep it running for years.

You're welcome. Never too late, indeed, but my Heavy is already built, primed and I'm painting the guy at the moment, that's why i said that "i could"
Anyway, your stuff is very inspiring and I'll keep it in mind, working on my future projects.

Paint, paint, paint... the progress on Samarianne is alright, but not done yet. Couldn't paint yesterday though and today isn't looking too good either. Tomorrow I'm gonna pick up my set of secret weapon washes from the customs office. Finally...
Pictures soon.

@dsteingass:
Dirigible... I guessed what you meant, but I actually had to look it up to be sure, I only knew zeppelin. Anyway, so far I had no plans to change anything about the normal models, except replacing the ugly pole it stands on with either clear plastic or a needle.
@Neil:
Thanks Neil, I'm trying to bring my A-game, but I'm still rusty AND a little inexperienced in painting, because I had a hiatus of several years and even before that I overall painted less then 50 miniatures over the course of years. So even though I have a lot of theoretical knowledge, putting it into practice is a painstaking learning curve, so everything takes an eternity. I hope to achieve some routine, if I keep painting on a more regular base.

Terrible day, good news. After one month in delivery my Secret Weapon washes finally arrived, so I'm a proud owner of 30 new washes now.
Now I'm eager to test some of them. Names like "baby poop" make me suspicious and curious to equal measures...

Taking into account that most weathering powders are simply pigments it's not surprising that it works as wash. The downside ist just that the pigments are opaque, similar to heavily diluting ordinary colors with water, while real washes should have pigments with a little tranparency. Both kinds have their applications of course.

That is quite a difference in career opportunities I think I missed something here
Call me stupid (most do) But with weathering powders and washes I thought the weathering powders would have less transparency ?

No hes just helping to build them a better brighter future (with lots of rivets ) through modelling, the best times I had was making models with my dad as a kid although I have to say I was all ways better at than him .
I keep asking my misses if i can be a stay at home dad but she said no ……. she said we don't have any kids so how can you be so I said you have to start training for a future career the conversation ended there.
Well good luck with whatever you do Vik
