Someone on discord suggested it looked like the Gaping Dragon in Dark Souls 1 - I havent played the game, but i can confirm its got the aesthetic I was hoping for

*looks around*

I have no recollection of this place.

Letting myself down with the posting here folks - mostly work has been very busy and Ive not been able to dedicate my lunchtimes to dakka posting.

I *HAVE* been painting though - so here's an update:

Psyker

hehe butt osl

The Blurry Commisar

Troopers:

You might not recognise this guy because he's been altered since I last posted:

I decided the hood was too thick and the helm didnt work in the context of the model, so one head off, new head on.

Heavy weapons squad:

That'll do for now - catch you all next time I get a free lunchtime!
cheers

Could have sworn I said something about the Sentinel already...

It's phenomenal. Good to see you still slinging the green stuff with a fury.

Another super quick update post - this time its my planned display board for the Traitor Guard Armies on parade. But first, let's see what we can see on the Hololith...

THis is probably going to be added to the board in one of the locations I have magnetised. Anyway - here is the board from beginning to mostly done:

MDF boards - exciting

Figured I better plan out how it wil sit -

Then its time to put on some detaisl

a quick and cheap black primer

then its time to get the drybrushing and sponges out

check the plan again

get the street art painted up

What about some wall hangings (model provided for scale)

Time to get fancy

Ok - thats all the photos I have uploaded for now, but I have some more Traitor guard stuff I have done - i'll upload and post this the next chance I get

Cheers

This is such a cool blog, man.

Just flicking back through the last few pages - the gribbly (& grisly) work on the sentinel is fantastic, and it's crazy how quickly some paint brought all those different elements together.

Your OSL work is seriously inspiring - the psyker and the CSMs both look brilliant. And colours in general between the laser destroyer (great conversion work btw), the pop on Typhus' scythe and the noise marines.

Literal Ursula Creed has got to be one of my favourite scratchbuilds/self sculpts of all time. Really nails the pose and heft of the OG while making it your own. Very clever and fun and well executed.

And now a display board in the works - something I've got plans for too. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Thanks for sharing!

That’s a sweet looking board already! The floor murals are great, I’m guessing you’ll be weathering them down and glowing them up somehow?
