A battlefield is no place for a Discman to listen to your archaic music :p
Look at the dirty floor, it is a roomba he is deploying. If you can hear music it is only because it is DJ Roomba
As it's Spanish, it's probably a greatest hits disc of Venga Boys. It goes off in anyone comes near it, ends with the combatants falling to the ground in tears with their ears bleeding.
Hunh? How did you miss making a Los del Río reference? ( I think that their song Macarena would make a potent sonic weapon.)
Bear in mind that Roombas will eventually be "Intelligent" enough to figure out the source of all the dirt --Us-- and eliminate the problem at the source. #RobotUprising
That is a fine mini indeed, but the TREQ is meh. Looks like it could be readily removed though, so his foot is in the air... a shout out to the current Spektr Snipr...

I'll have to be the lone dissenting voice and say I find that Spektr uninspiring. He seems particularly plain IMO compared with recently release figs this half of the year. YMMV. I can't recall what scifi it was (40k? a movie? a book?) but there was something that I read in which one race always has a single person vote no in their ruling body to make sure a vote is never unanimous and that someone is always looking for the too good to be true "catch". I guess I'll be that guy this time in the thread.

That would be the Israeli government in World War Z. The same book/movie that depicts the Israeli government as warm and embracing, that lets everybody inside a wall... Oh the irony...

I can't attest to its historical foundation, but I remember reading about "naysmiths", who had the described function.
Visit my I-munda/Necromunda P&M Blog: Eye for Detail Visit my Infinity P&M Blog: Reckless Abandon Scarper: "That is incredibly detailed...shows an attention to detail that goes beyond anyone you'll fight."
The Good Green: "Ok, That is incredible. Such attention to detail... I'm convinced you would benefit from a straight jacket ;~P Thanks for raising the bar."
PDH: "Yeah Bloody Baiyuan's Bloody eye for detail . Bet he doesn't sig that one"
PDH: "I'm not saying anything that you might sig against me. Made that mistake before!"
PDH: "Thanks for joining Dakka and spoiling us with your work. "

That might be a reference to the ancient rules of the Sanhedrin (the institution of the Judiciary in traditional Jewish religious law): one of the (many) notable differences between Jewish and Christian jurisprudence is that in capitol (that is, death penalty) cases a decision must have a dissenter.
I imagine that has been lifted for use in fiction more then once.

See, there we go. That makes sense (that Brooks lifted the traditional rules of the Sanhedrin for his fictional Israel, not the peacenik wish fulfillment part. That was always silly).

Thanks for the double clarification, Zewrath and Buzzsaw! I don't think I ever would have recalled the source myself as World War Z.

Yeah, it is a limited edition Jeanne D'Arc, one that comes with Giraldez's book. However, I suspect that like all limited edition minis that we have seen, when CB releases the regular edition Jeanne D'Arc, it will be the same body, and possibly the same or differing head, and/or with differing arms. CB has done this quite a bit with the "LE" minis that will also get a regular release. ( the *LE* cosplay bolt, the LE Van Sant, etc.) So if you cannot get this mini, you'll be able to get one very, very close to it eventually.

The Father Knight is one of the single hardest models in the Pan Oceania arsenal. Whether AVA 2 in a basic force or AVA 3 in Military Orders, this ARM 5, BTS 9 model can take everything that can be dished out at him.
Available for the first time as an individual model, the Father Knight Spitfire will get a lot of work done in any Pan O force!
MILITARY ORDER FATHER-KNIGHTS
"Father-Knights are one of the most prominent staples of the PanOceanian forces, always leading the charge - whether surrounded by the regular army or their own Military Orders. Each an ordained priest, they have received intensive combat training and are renowned as expert tactical support and close-quarters combatants. When deployed alongside regular forces, they provide PanOceanian soldiers with much-needed moral support. Father-Knights are shepherds of men, and they know how to lead troops into the fray. They look them in the eye and persuade them to go beat up the enemy because that is what God wants, because it is the right thing to do, and because it is their duty. And they do. With these warrior priests at the front of PanOceanian forces, victories are driven home and defeats turned into successes."

You all don't understand. I'm not locked in here with you; you're all locked in here with me.
You see the other knight from the starter behind him in the video, two hands on the blade in a striking pose rather than pointing.

The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.
