Hi! I am new to 40k and have recently bought the dark vengence box set and am using the dark angels as my main army. I played a few times but I got pooped on! What my main issue is, is that I don't know the librarian's and company masters pysker abilities, I read something about hellfire and mind worm and I'd like to know more on how to use them, can someone help? Thanks!

For Mind Worm you'll need the Dark Angels Codex I think. It's worth buying if you want to stick to the Dark Angels.
Welcome to Dakka and 40k!

Welcome to dakka, if you want to ask questions before buying someone here can help, depending on income a codex can be expensive for sure!

Company Masters are unfortunately not Psykers, but as for the librarian he picks off the tables in the BRB. You'll probably want Divination cause DA can get it, some good powers there.

I started with DA as well. and I enjoy the army.
You do want to pick up the DA codex first of all.
If you like the Ravenwing, then the Ravenwing Battleforce is a great buy.
If you want to go Greenwing, then the best buy is the space marine Strike Force, Just paint the guys green and your set.

Out of azreal, belail, ezekiel and sammiel which is the best choice for an hq? I have a codex now and there's nothing about how to use their phyker stuff.

Thats because the how to use their psyker stuff is in the rulebook not the codex (pg 66 -69 of the DV rule book specifically)
As for best HQ they all have uses and all have downsides as well so their is no 'best' as such. it really depends on the kind of army you want to play what models you like etc

using magic is explained in the rulebook. Of the 5 special hq's I would buy into asmodai last. Ezekiel is always a good place to start as is azreal if your going for a mixed bag approach. Belial and sammael are basically if you want to make an army of only deathwing/ravenwing
One hq that you should try out sometime is the interrogator chaplain. He can be a pretty effective hq if you want to place him with a more versatile squad of guy/assault oriented squad. Interrogators use the same models as normal chaplains (though their is a limited edition one on eBay for all of 25 bucks (New) that is an official interrogator. (his name is seraphicus)

The quick and dirty
Belail = Termies as Troops
Sammiel = Bikes as troops
Azreal = All around HQ damage guy
Ezekiel = Psyker
Asmodai - HQ #2 guy. More of a support then main HQ

You'll want to find a copy of the Dark Angels codex, as it will explain some of this better. Like others have said, the captain doesn't have psychic abilities - he's a damage dealer, so you'll want to try to get him into close combat. The librarian is the psyker, and I would recommend you give him powers from the Divination table (from the main rulebook) - these are simple buffs to your units, easy to use and understand.
Play around with the boxed set models for a bit to get a feel for how everything works - after 5 to 10 plays, you'll have a much better grasp of the system and what your units do, and you can start expanding your army. Dark Angels have a number of ways to build them - you can play them as a fairly standard space marine army, or go hard on Ravenwing (bikes) or Deathwing (terminators).

Welcome to the inner circle brother. This army takes some getting used to. The units you should get will always be based on your personal play style so it's hard to what works best. I will say this avoid asmodai. I love the character but its very lack luster. Also our air is a bit weak so proxy prior to purchase and avoid the landspeeder vengeance like the plague.
Enjoy.

Ya I am guilty of running the plane because I am a sucker for them but every experienced DA player says that they are just not worth the points.
I guess its a good thing that I just play casual because when i ally with my IG having both planes (painted military grey with Flying Tiger Teeth and pin-up stickers) its just awesome looking

The Neph is an amazing looking model and had they made the missiles s8 ap2 I would've bought more. Had they made it 40 points cheaper I would have bought more. Had they increased it to av12 I would've got more. All in all its really good against light vehicles and light infantry. The problem is that there are tons of more effective options that are cheaper so there's no point in bringing one. In friendly games it rarely makes up for its own points and really shines if you bring them in pairs which again its not worth the points. The second its FAQ to something slightly better then I'm getting another. Till then I'll just wait. As per the talon its too much of a gimmick unit. After it drops its payload it just becomes an expensive harassment unit.

Well now that quadguns are skyfire only, therell be fewer people fielding AA stuff and since AP4 weapons can no longer insta-wreck, i'd say the naphilim is more survivable than it ever was in 6th.

It's not possible to have twin linked anything on an attack bike. Nor is it possible to have Ass Cans.
Razorbacks can have them, and Landspeeders can get them without the T/L.
