Throwing myself back into the splatter realm, been busy with all sorts of crap but finally time to bust into another time traveling 90s/RT exploration!

Plan is to finish up a wraithgaurd based army (mostly due to small number of models to paint). Craftworld I'm doing is Altansar, always loved the idea that these guys are so twisted that they've never removed their helmets since their return to normal space, creepy and awesome, regarded with suspicion, almost barely eldar...

So heres the plan for the army, its gonna be fluffy yet still playable as not-unbound. I want wraithgaurds and a seer because I enjoy the mysterious nature of the Broken infinity loop of Altansar and what it has done to its inhabitants! Some harlequins, Ra and some Reapers just for the fluff of Altansar's liberation and Ill throw in some armour back it up, probably only a few pieces though Forgeworld Jr Wave Serpents are rarely up for sale, and Armorcast/Biasi/Epicast Falcons are around regularly enough (but not enough to find a good natural auction for em), the remainder of the non-apocalypse resin vehicles I almost never see, but ill always keep a look out. Altogether its resin vehciles and metal pieces the whole way, I don't want to touch a plastic kit.

his staff is part of SM bike bannerpole and two random bits. Not my best conversion admittedly, just a cape/mask/weapon, but I also dont have ANY extra eldar bits : / ah well

ill have bigger better photos up soon, in the midst of moving some stuff around then hopfully time to setup a lil picture zone again and bust out the nicer camera

did some work on the serpent today, still needs some details and a decal (im loathing the dificulty in putting together another altansar rune like the ones on the lords)

found some extra tile in the closet and some extra quartz I had layn round to do a progress so far picture



so with a good amount of upgrades to the spiritseer, the vehicles and starshots for the reapers this about a 1k force minus the scatter-lord

heres the finished wraithforce and reapers with one of my backdrops I found and some more excess bathroom tiles and aqaurium quartz HUNTERS OF THE CRONE WORLDS!

and yesterday finished up on senor RA

got my spirit warrior and fire dragons today wanted to share the og paint job before I stripped them, oh the 80s everything was so colorful and over the top...

So i had a few handsculpted peices that I was using that I wasnt too fond of but today picked up the Crimson hunter/Wraithbird and immediately was drawn to spare wraithspine pieces. So i did a little bit bashing to do some GW bit made parts to Eldify my Imperial Bunker.
Usually im lazy about taking work progess pics so on the this rare occasion I decided to make an effort to do so

What I used: 4 Extra Gun Sheilds, 2 Sun Cannons with their "Packs" and the back of Shrieken Cannon, piece of sprue, paper, and the "spine" peices from the flyer kit



Cut up the little circles on the sun cannon, and put together the gun sheilds to make a weapons battery style shield, mount on a normal base (fits perfectly in the bunker hatch spot). Underneath it all to give it a "mounted appearance I used the little T-thing for non-mount flyer displays from the C-Hunter Kit.


once shield is solid carve out mount spots on either side of its inner area to accomodate the suncannons to fit in straight




Next is the Wraithspine, I took two more of the gunsheilds and cut their little "ears" So i could touch their edges and their circular inner mounts to make a U then put the big spine piece onto it pressed to one side so it stayed straight (those a little bit more scrath savy can figure a way to center it), then used a shreiken pack to cover the extra space.


Next i used two of the smaller spine pieces along with a sprue piece and the sun-cannon packs to make a little banner holder and spire thing.
the two sun cannons packs are mounted as claws to backs/bases of the spines. then I used a sprue piece carefully placed between them to give them much needed support for position.


Then I added some paper for extra placement and to cover the wretched mark of the heathen imperials!
