So with all the fluff and descriptions floating around in various army books and novels, what are the fights that you would LOVE to see done in an epic bioware style cinematic? Not necessarily special characters, but lord and wizard matchups that would be a dozen kind of awesome to watch. The cinematics from warhammer online or reign of chaos gave us a taste of it, but it really leaves me wanting to see more. The classic dark elf vs high elf or empire warrior priest vs chaos lord is great, but what about beyond that?

Personally, I'd love to see a wood elf lord vs beastlord duel. The beastlord dodges and plows through a hail of arrows before pitting his own tough bulk and prowess vs the finesse and grace of a wood elf. Speed vs strength kind of thing.

But what I'd love to watch more than anything else is a Saurus Oldblood facing off against a chaos lord, preferably of khorne. A friend of mine plays a mono khorne chaos army, and we've talked about it from time to time. The oldblood is a living slab of muscle, sinew and bone. For a thousand years or more he's defended Lustria from countless things that would make a bretonnian knight wet his armor. He's covered from head toe in iron hard scales, reinforced by inch thick plates of ancient enchanted bronze. The oldblood is deadly enough just with claws and teeth, but when armed with a weapon of jungle hardwood and razor sharp obsidian blades, he can cleave through a horse in a single blow. The chaos lord matches him pound for pound though. Through the taking of countless hundreds of lives he rose from warrior to champion to hero, and finally to lord. Encased in massive plate armor etched with insidious runes and wielding a gargantuan and ensorcelled sword or ax, he is the essence of war incarnate.

So I know I've waxed a little poetic here, but I can't be the only one who would love to see some of this stuff. So what matchups or duels would YOU like to see played out on the big screen?

Blood Dragon vampire versus a Khornate Chaos Lord, the two best fighter archetypes of the Warhammer world.

I'm gonna throw Skink Chieftain vs a Plague Priest out there for something different. The fluff for Clan Pestilens foray into Lustria is pretty cool.

I'm not even gonna try and match your very eloquently written description of the matchup!

A glorious aerial duel between a bloodthirster and an ancient star dragon, two epic monsters whos combat skills have been honed for longer than history has been written.

Or a proud brettonian lord facing the challenge of any of the great monsters that exist in the warhammer world.

Teclis Vs Morathi in a slap fight. Don't ask.

On a serious note, a magical duel between those two would be badass.

Archaon vs Grimgor Ironhide.

Seamus vs Konrad, so we can see who best mental earthquake undead lord.

I dont know if that fight would be more even with or without an elven rider for the dragon.

Also, i feel like a breton lord vs an ogre tyrant just... feels right. I dunno why, it just makes sense.

Abaddon vs any Primarch...seriously, could this guy beat a Primarch? Is he that tough?

Tyrion vs Malekith (without the Dragon). Teclis vs Morathi. Both at the same time gets extra awesome points.

What's a primarch? and who's Abaddon?

I'd love to see Chakax standing at the end of a long, narrow hallway leading to his Slann just cutting down mobs of Skaven trying to get through. Not exactly a duel but I've always loved his fluff, artwork, and model (too bad he's stupidly expensive otherwise I'd use him all the time).

He could have not noticed it. It's a fairly common occurrence amongst people.

I've done it too. Clicked on a topic thinking it was for the far superior game and everyone was talking about cover saves, physic powers and some other malarkey.

Aenarion and Indraugnir vs the four Greater Daemons during the battle defending Caledor's creation of the magical vortex.

Call me a LOTR hack, but I would love to see a dwarf (slayer or not) fighting either a dragon (#smaug) or a bloodthirster #(wedugtoodeep). Something about the dwarven stoicism and the heroic last stand really capture my imagination.

Other cool matchups would be high elves/dark elves...and many people have mentioned dragons and magic duels...how about an epic sea battle (300: Rise of an Empire anyone?)
Corsairs vs Sea Guard would be awesomesauce, RBT's flying everywhere, "Release the kraken!" goodness with some Kharibdyss action, cray-cray acrobatics swinging on ropes and stuff.

Probably sigmar vs nagash though nagash is more of a caster in my mind whereas sigmar seemed to be more of a fighter. Also I can't remember if sigmar didn't just walk over him.

Then there was that fight of the last living tomb king (or whatever they were called) wielding the fellblade and nagash. I imagine once range was closed with nagash that nagash sort of just got beaten over the head with the fellblade like a blunt club. It's entertaining to think about in a humorous sort of way but not really as big of a duel.

Actually I think I know a good duel. I'd like to see mannfred face off against gotrek. I think that happened before in one of the books.

Yet another good battle would be that vampire counts hero (abhorash I think) against the dragon he killed and drank the blood of. You know to conquer his red thirst. Why have they not made a character model out of him? I would rather play with him. I guess it's because vampire counts are in a sense elector counts and have an actual shot at the imperial throne. Still I'd rather see him or some sort of ghoul king special character instead of more crap on the von carsteins. The only von carstein I was really fond of was mannfred anyway.

I woul like to see a battle between a noble and proud Dwarf king and the equally depraved and outrigth evil/crazy Chaos Dwarfs, and even better if this duel played out during a massive battel between the two said factions, preferably set in the great halls of a Dwaren hold

Also, as for the Von Carsteins, seeing Konrad fight literally anything (but probably a big mob of ogres) would be pretty hilarious. I mean, he statistically kills around 4 ogres the turn that he charges, so watching him slice a squad of ogre ironguts to ribbons and then lick the blood off his sword would be great. Of course, hes probably laughing and raving like a bloody lunatic the whole time. Such an adorable little ball of murder.

As I remember it archaon and valten were locked in 1 on 1 combat where there was no clear winner coming from until grimgor showed up and sucker punched archaon while he was fighting valten. Valten colapses from the fight, archaon is knocked unconcious and grimgor yells something "orky" and runs away.

As for me? I'd like to read a battle where 3 or 4 tomb kings on Sphinx square off with a Chaos War Mammoth and Chaos lord!
