Looks pretty cool. Though on Cherry Blossom it would be nice to see the black have some highlights and shading underneath the gloss. The cherry blossoms look quite cool but the clusters of petals could stand to be slightly larger (IMO). Similarly, the branches could have been a little lighter as they kind of fade into the black.

Azure Dragon also looks good but again I would have loved to see some fade and modulation in the underlying blue and maybe a little more variation in the colour of the lines representing the scale edges.

Otherwise they look great.

Well all I can say is that they look far better IRL. The high gloss kind of eats into those effects on the photos, but live they are there. There is a fair bit of highlights to the black and the blues have multiple shades... as far as possible, since I wanted their tones to change in the light depending on the angle you look at them and there is only so many angles you can airbrush it from!

Really beautiful work. The Cherry Blossom in particular. Ever since I saw a 10mm Mechwarrior repaint (possibly by Spaceman Spiff?) with a Cherry Blossom scheme I've had an appreciation for that style.

I had been looking at a lot of Classic Japanese paintings to get some inspiration when I came across one of Cherry tree in bloom and felt I had to do it. Then it was only a question of how to translate it onto a mini. I saw some Eldar that served as inspiration.
