Yeah, the link isn't working for me. Which is a shame, as I'm interested. What kind of stuff are you looking for, length/content wise?

Pretty cool contest. I think even I could finish a 500 word description

I might give it a shot. I have a couple ideas that would be interesting. The trick is, as always, turning a mental picture into text.

500 Words... There will be many, many rewrites in order to fit that.

Just got a few Qs to be A'd, though:
How many entries does each person get?

If the number of entries is limited, do you rely on simple honesty when it comes to entries? Or do you have an idea for countering attempts to use fake accounts to enter multiple times?

Are all entries final upon being entered? Or will people be allowed to enter revised versions until the closing date?

Since existing IPs are allowed, how will you go about eliminating any issues that might arise from any foreknowledge? Would someone who makes up their own universe suffer from having to describe something in more detail than someone who describes a well-known item from an established universe? With only 500 words, having to describe, for example, a phaser to a Star Trek fan will take a lot less effort than describing some unknown technology someone made up on the spot; every word counts, and anyone able to skimp on description gains a significant boost.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Just as many as you want.
The deadline set is for the entries, dependng on the ammount of entries it might take us a while to judge, but don't let that scare you. If you have multiple narrative ideas, please by all means add all of them if you wish.

An entry added is final. Make use of the deadline-time to make sure all is as you wish for it to be

We are not going to give certain IP's a paved road. The emphasis is on narrative, not description.
There will be room for interpretation for the artist, if an already established IP would win the price, there will be less interpretation for the artist but it is not the descroptions that will win you the day, it's the narrative.

Hope that helped

Will the judges know who wrote each entry, or will each entry be read without knowledge of the author? (That could impact someone's decision to send multiple entries. No one wants to get penalized because they think the judges would be tired of seeing their work...)

Okay, next time post some reminders at certain points such as halfway, 3/4, etc.

I completely forgot this existed, and because off-topic moves so quickly the thread was buried within about two days of the last post.
