Hey Dakka just a quick question for you guys. I was looking into buying some combi-grav/metla off of ebay for my White Scars,, and noted the cheapest ones are only the top halves. Now will these top halves got on to any botler with not much conversion? If not mind letting me in on how you afix these to a bolter? Here are some links for refernces pics.

Those top halves go to a specific receiver
this one specifically.
Unless you cut off about that much material off a regular bolter i dont think it would look right.

They're fairly easy to make, though. Using those "top halves" cut sufficiently and put in place of the grip on a bolter (see the Forge World combis) works, as does using a plasma pistol in the same way for a combi-plasma.

all I did was slice off everything above the bolter barrell, then take the other end of the weapon, and slice off all the fancy bits under it, and glue one on the other. Some effort/gap filling will be required, but this works.
