I made this list for a local tournament, I wanted something that wasn't a WAAC list but at the same time I want it to be competitive enough to not just get steam rolled but other lists, we're using 7th ed rules so my cc units should fare decently, I'm open to all constructive C&C.

The list looks mostly solid. There's a lot of points invested in the Lychguard and unless you put Zandy in there, you don't have an invul save. I prefer mine with swords and Boards for that reason.

However, if you dropped three, you could then take 5 warriors to go into the Ark, plus a stormteks for the immortals and an extra scarab base for each group.

I think the extra objective secured unit would outweigh the loss of the three lych, plus the stormtek with the tesla is great for any vehicle work.

I don't plan to actually put the warriors in the ark, bu rather use it as a re-animator for the squad

I guess you are running the reslord with Oby in the LG group and Nemie in the brick? If that's the case I would give them then NS. They have the Ghost Walk mantle of course, but giving them a pinpoint strike on entry will really allow you to control them better.

I'd also switch out one set of scarabs for a Spyder with a Fab Claw, but that's just my love for the Spyder/Scarab combo working. In this list the two indi groups of 4 could be decent harassers without Spyder support.

Warsythes are the way to go if you insist on lychgaurd but there are better ways to do necron cc.

I. E. Destroyer lord and wraiths + spiders and scarabs. Even Pretorians with proper positioning would be a better call, jump inf, hammer of wrath, ap 2 pistols that also double as +1 strength ap 2 cc weapons.

@Epic, it looks solid. have fun with it!

@epartails, why do you think warscythes are better on Lych? This unit is I2, one wound and 5 models. I think the sword and board is better because you have a better chance of surviving (it isn't like AP3 melee weapons are uncommon!). Also, the sword is AP3, so not too shabby (you wouldn't use this unit to take on terminators anyway).

With Oby, Sword and Board Lych are a perfect bodyguard.

Praetorians wouldn't be that great with Oby, because 6" is a pathetic range on the Rod, and they aren't tough enough to take a turn of fire in a backfield drop. Also, if they did get in combat, the rod at I1 would mean you'd probably only get one turn.
