So I got out of the hobby a few years back and sold everything. Recently I decided to get back into the hobby and actually play the game. I only played 2 games in 5th. So I picked up the dark vengeance box and I'm trying to decide where to go from there. In the box I get 5 tac termites a tac squad 3 bikes Libby and chapter master. From what I've read the Thunder fire cannon is for the win, but other than that I'm not sure what to buy next so any help with a semi competitive list would be helpful. Thanks

If you stick to dark angels, i warn you that white scars do bikes better, but DA has Standard of Devestation confering 12" buble of slavo 2/4 for all bolt weapons including twin linked hurricane bolters on land raider crusaders. DA also has powerfield generator which confers a very good invulnerable save for all units 12" bubble including vehicles.

Having those things in a lrc extends the 12" bubble from the hull thereby giveing a much larger area of effect.

I plan on creating my own chapter and figure out which chapter tactics I like through play testing. I just picked up two more tac squads. So as the list stands now I have

Chapter master with Pw
Libby with sword
5 Tac termites ac and Pw
Tac squad plasma cannon and plasma rifle

Then the two other tac squads. Don't know how to outfit them.
My opponents play guard, ork, necron, and marine. But I don't know if they run blobs or are tank heavy

I find you can rarely go wrong with plasma or melta.

I suggest looking at ultramarines

I was thinking about rhino spam. Taget saturation and redundancy was my line of thought. I'm not to sure about dreadnought as I've read that they took a hit in the new edition.
I've ordered a thunderfire cannon for the force(, is two overkill?)
For the elites I was thinking of running a 10 man stern guard squad in a rhino.

If you run one. Need two or some other threat to draw attention. And actually dreads got a good boost in the new edition.

Then should I get a vindicator? Or perhaps a land raider for the term is or sternguard? I appreciate all the help thank you
