so with my orks i model them a bit differently.
i use boys and nobs as boys, ogres for nobs and now i need a warboss.
id use something as big as a giant if i could find one orky enough.
do any of you have a model in mind that is suitably orky and bigger than on ogre? are minotaurs bigger than ogres?

in my minds eye i remember reading that orks would be giant if they didnt fight so much and die so i thought why not run with that and have a particularly lucky or tough band of orks that actually tend to survive and therefore grow.

it also seem that orks tend to progress from slouched over gorrila posture to straighter human posture as they grow so a large ork with an almost human stature isnt out of the realm of possibilities.

thanks in advance.

I believe it's actually that Orks grow the more they fight. Hence why Warbosses and Nobs are larger.

It really depends on how massive you want to go here.

You could just use Ghazzy as a standard Warboss in mega armour.
You could get a WHF giant, paint him green, add some dakka and call it a day.

Or you could do what this ingenious bugger did and convert one out of a soulgrinder and A killa kan.

I will say the one down side to that model is that you might have a hard time claiming cover saves.

Cover saves? That's what you take a Stompa for.
That Soulgrinder though. That took a lot of fightin' to get that big.

I have no clue how Dakka's moderation work. I expect it involves throwing a lot of d100 and looking at many random tables.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

Minotaurs are significantly bigger than ogres and ogryns dude. I made my bullgryns out of them. I've included a size comparison shot below.
